Last Sunday I went to our local markets, you can find all sorts of wonderful things there, a lot of crap as with most markets these days but here they only allow products made in our shire to be sold, so nothing from overseas... which is great, the bits and pieces are fabulous.
I was tempted to buy a local pearl necklace for a friend, they're natural pearls, so they aren't round, they come in all shapes and sizes just like us!
It was such a wonderful day, the sun was shinning as it hasn't for quite a few days, and I wanted to feel the warmth... see thats me, walking out of the markets in my sunday dress ~ my happy dress... and my favourite sun hat. In my right hand is a package that is now on an airplane going all the way overseas to America! ooohhhhh
I didn't know my husband was taking photo's, that man has a camera in his hands all the time... damn I look serious! as I got closer I kept looking for him but he was hiding and I was worried he'd gone off somewhere else....
After such a lovely afternoon, we both decided to go home pick some lychees before the bats got them and relax on our balcony. As the afternoon wore on the rain up in the hills created two beautiful rainbows so hubby went off down to the damn to photograph them.
Little did I knwo that he took this shot! our home, nestled amongst the bush, you can see the cars, looks like a damn car yard to be honest, my little gray number, the VW Super bug which is the calling card for our movie... I drive it only when I'm stocking up our retailers and the work in progress, the red beast! te he hehe
Thats me on the balcony, legs up as usual, sipping a wine and watching the sun set lazily over the mountains. The lychees are wonderful this time of the year, still tart which is how I like them, not too sweet... the Paw Paws will come on soon, all the rain, then we'll get loads of mangos and jack fruits too. I don't mind Jack Fruits they're tastier in a sweet curry than on their own, if you can get past the smell that is...
My little piece of paradise folks, surrounded by lush green and scrubby bush, views that go on forever (may show you one day the view from the balcony) the scent of moisture always present in the air... **sigh** so peaceful.
