The last 24 hours has been strange.  Saw a movie with an old friend, the next day shot a family photo in my studio and was up to 1:00 am printing 500 Christmas cards, talk about the last minute, but got paid well! Just got to bed and my cell phone rings at 2:30 am.  My girl friend mother is ill but it was not her.  It was the alarm company for the store that I work for, someone put me on the list.  The phone line for the alarm system was down and they first call the store manager, who lives two blocks away and he did not answer.  I live 24 miles away.  I call the manger at 8:00 am and he still did not answer so I took to the road as someone has to be there at 8:30 am to get the store ready.  As I pulled in here comes the loser of a manger.  I ask him why he did not answer his phone; he could not give me an answer and has this dumb look on his face.  I told him to take me off the alarm call list he said that he could not do that as I was a key hold for the store.  I place the key on the desk and walk out and called his boss.  I explained to him that my girlfriend get up at 3:45 to go to work and her 80 year old mother is ill.  The DM said that he would take care of it and the store manger was on thin ice and may be on his way out and ask me if I would be interested.  I told him if offered I would think about as I have the Studio which does well spring to fall.  I return to the store and worked a 14 hour day. I am the one who got a call from the company to help fix the store after I quit three months earlier, the store was dirty and upside down.  The DM knows that I am the one who is making it better but the asshole store manger take the credit for all the work I did.    Got home at 10:30 Pm and found my girlfriend up  by my fire place.  She said that we had no more heating oil and there was no more hot water.  Early this morning I had 200 gals of heating oil pump in and started the burner.  My girlfriend wants me to take a store mangers job but I hate the company I work for.  I work for them for a number of years in the late fall to early spring and then run my studio full time

I'm so sorry you have a half assed manager.  Hopefully the DM will put an end to his laziness before it ruins the store and makes your life too unbearable.

Your work is excellent and I think that's a good idea.  I also love reworking photos in the shop to give them more "pop".
