  We don´t have snow at the moment here in Hamburg, northern part of Germany.  I think it is "too warm" 6°C for it to snow :(

  What interesting and beautiful photos Winter.  We haven't gotten a full snow here yet, at least nothing to cover the grass all the way yet.  It's that half assed snow that leaves the tips of the grass sticking out so you can tell it wasn't much.  I think I've decided the only snow I like is the kind that is either so powdery that it doesn't stay on the road ... or the kind that comes down but the ground is still warm enough out that it melts off the road instantly.  If it weren't for bad driving conditions and feeling trapped I'd love all kinds of snow.  Sometimes I wish I were a kid again so I could go outside and just innocently enjoy it without worrying about not going anywhere or slipping and falling or being cold.  Just the sheer joy of having so much to play in, all the possibilities.  Thank you for sharing Winter, it took me back a bit.

  paper---- i am in ark in them there hills!:) and 90% of it is ice.  but it was like little ice balls... not the i hate you rainy ice that  knocks out power and makes life not so fun!  with some snow mixed in..  it wasnt sure what it wanted to do....... and right now at 3 am its 30...

   

  hegie----- i love powder snow we dont get it much... just depends on if we get lucky! now the icey is cool cause it makes everything look like a fairy talk kinda... but  i am crossing fingers for some powder snow and lots of it!

  lucy---- i no i wish you could to..... the kids took these pics.. i think ill look around in the morning and see if i can find something cool.... if it is still there when i wake... out here never no if it will stay...

  The tree pictures are beautiful, Winter....almost haunting.  They make me glad it's 70 degrees here. 
  I remember trying to get down my porch steps to go to work after overnight ice storms in New Jersey.  I kept bags of cat litter by the back door to sprinkle on the ground in front of me so I wouldn't fall.  Even the porch railings were iced over so I couldn't get a grip on them.   I wasn't afraid to drive in snow or ice, but I was terrified of  falling.   People drove so slowly that I figured I wouldn't be hurt if a car slid into my car, but I might break a bone if I fell.
  If the sun was out the glare from the reflection on the ice was blinding which made driving even more difficult.
  It's beautiful to look out as long as you don't have to go outside.

  uni i miss that calli weather. i miss going to the beach in the morning then heading to the mtns. at night to snow board..... here all i get is lakes full of snapping turtles. and strems with cow shit.... hot sticky summers and odd ass winters... but what i love is when its winter here and snow is on the ground and the air is crisp. and its dark out side. and to look up and see all the stars in the sky. shineing so bright... so i stay here...
