SC merely being down for whatever updates are coming is not going to stop me from blogging.  Nobody ever said I couldn’t type it in Word and put it into a post later, when available.  Besides, I can spell check and grammar check easier that way instead of scrupulously reading and re-reading it before I post.  There’s still be mess ups I’m sure, but hey, at least I try. 

I’m sitting here right now, at about 9:30a.m, in between work tasks and just my own personal stuff.  It got really icy and crappy out, so I decided I didn’t want to take any chances, I’ve got my work computer at home, I’ll just do the work here.  I want to go back to sleep really, but that wouldn’t look so great if my boss actually calls me back with something to do.  I mean, I called her early this morning to tell her I was going to play it safe and stay home (plus, I don’t have to worry about leaving the dog inside with the cats, who have been beating the crap out of her … yes, I said it … the cats are being nasty to the dog).  I gave her the new email address I created for this purpose, since I can’t connect to the internet from the work computer and I really don’t want to be giving out my personal email addresses.  Plus, the one that actually works well to send attachments in isn’t necessarily appropriate to be giving out.  So, I created one that’s the same as my work email, only with MY internet provider/server instead of my work provider/server.  I also told her what I had currently to work on (damn website, holiday card, brochure, and a couple other things) so perhaps she thinks that’s enough and doesn’t plan to call me.  OR, she does plan to call me, and she’s going to wait till later, who knows.

What I worry about is that she’ll assume that since I’m home anyway, that she can wait till after the normal hours I would work and then call me to do more stuff.  I mean, depending on what it is I might do it.  Like, if it’s to read and edit a quick paper or something that will be fine because that won’t take me forever.  If it’s some long, lengthy project I will not try hard on it, I can tell you that for sure. 

On to other things … the dog did not mess in our room last night.  She did have to pee though, I mean I could literally see her face relax and about heard that ‘aaahhh’ sigh of relief, lol.  My husband got called in early for snow/ice removal, so who knows when he’ll be home.  I haven’t decided yet what I feel like doing today after I’m done working.  I was up late again last night and I’m wiped out as is, especially because I got woke up at 3:30 when my husband was getting up, then 3:55 when his boss called MY phone (guess he couldn’t reach my husband) to see if he was around and I had to inform him he’d already left, then 5 something when my BIL texted and told me that one of our mutual friend’s and his daughter’s great grandpa had died that morning in his sleep, then I just plain had to get up anyway to inspect weather/road conditions and take the dog out.  A very choppy, interrupted sleep to say the least.  I didn’t fall asleep till probably a quarter after one.

It figures though, I finally have some time to piddle around on SC and get caught up and it’s down.  I hope the changes are worth it, lol.  No, just kidding, I am not the least bit aggravated about that.  I just wish I could get on there … I feel almost “lost” lol.  I’m so used to being able to check in off and on and now I’m just completely blocked out because of 500 Internal Server Error.  So anyway, back to work I better get.

FINALLY, the darned thing is back up.  Now I have to explore to see what's new.  Well, at least I can put my posts up now and start fresh anyhoot.  There'll be another post coming up eventually, but I haven't written that one yet.  The first two I did last night and realized that SC was down, this one this morning.
