17th Of August 2006 shud be a memorable day for all Maldivians who participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony.Well ,heres wut i witnessed abt it ..

It seems this is not the first world record by Maldivians as this year February Maldives made a new world record for “Most people scuba diving simultaneously” on a single site where 979 divers dived to break the existing record of 722.

So the second record Breaking Attempt was announced in tv on the 16th of August and it was successfully completed by 4000 people on 17th August around 17:25 in the capital city Male,behind the road in Dharubaaruge.The people who participated were not only Maldivians but foreigners who work ,live or even visitors were able to join the crowd.According to facts Singapore had this record before maldives with 3300 participants.I got the news abt a week ago from my frnd xef.In the first minute i agreed to go there because I wanted to join in a gud thing to help my nation get a pride name.And its sumthing very easy and simple to do.And as Xef requested me to find more ppl for that ..i tried my best to infrom others abt it and couple of frnds join there to my request.Cheeeeeeeeers for that dho Xef..

This event was organized by Icon computers Private limited where they held a fair on IT products.A huge amount of youngsters ,kids,oldies and various status of ppl were gathered to the area since around 3:30.The place was closed for security purpose.Ash,shifu,ridhu ,xef n his frnd(sory i dont kno his name) was with me .In the attempt to head towards the road ,i felt like its better not be in the crowd as it was hard to breathe out there.But after abt 15 mins of struggling reached the road where the cadet boys held the ribbon which was mentioned to be 8000 feet. Had to wait there say for abt more than an hour (lol yaa standing) So during that time my fone started beeping with sms one after the other.And most of em reads "Ey tv in eba dhakkaa.."I knew the cameras were infront but never thot i was focused.And within that messy a frnd called and i was talking to her with a grin ,as she was teasing me that im on tv rite now( a lot frnds called later and sum were saying that they havent seen me laughing in real bt got the chance to c that in TV..lol)Thanx for nasra for giving me the chance to have a big smile on my face hehehe at last sum ppl have seen me laughing rite) So finally the event took place by reciting a surat from Quran and then the count down.After that the winners for the luckydraw were announced and ofcuz i never expected any of them as im not very lucky in winning such stuffs.The prizes were quite valuable where evryone was chitchatting abt the bumper prize of a MRF 20,000 Laptop. i didnt dare to rmbr who won it and the other prizes but congratulate them for thier luck .What ever the event was successful and it shows the cooperation and love we Maldivians have for our nation ..dho kekeke

So cheeeeeeeeeeers for the two record breaks for MAldives in one year..
