Where are you? This question determines your future.

The First in the Bible by God is found in Genesis 3:9 "Where are you?"

This is a question God asked Adam after man's sin. This is a very pertinent question.

The problem then is still the same today.

Adam and Eve were created to live in the presence of God. God had an on-going relationship of self-revelation with them. But Adam and Eve chose not to listen to God, and sinned against God and were alienated from Him and lost knowledge of God. (Knowledge here means: Not knowing ABOUT God; but knowing God experiencially, relationally, personally).

Where are you?

1. Outside far away.
2. Just looking in, at the door.
3. Inside, involved.

Today, many people are still believing God in a far away from truth. One can read and gain knowledge ABOUT God and even worship 'gods', but never really know God.

One might even go to Church, but never have a real relationship with God, because one is there for self benefits rather than to hear and do what God has to say.

One needs to go right into God's presence; and in acknowledging our sins, receive God's plan for the redemption and salvation of mankind by believing in Jesus Christ as God's solution for man's lostness.

Be an insider. There you really know Who God is. Don't remain an outsider or merely staring in at the door, trying to double guess Who God is, and What He is like.

Where are you?

I am with God. I can say this with confidence because I have been on this journey of knowing for over 30 years. My God is real, and He is here. Thank You God. I love You Jesus.

God is closer to you than you think! =) That's the title of the book that i've been reading and everything that the author (John Ortberg) talks about in the book is so so true..

There are times when we lose track of God, there are times when we don't feel Him at all.. but He is always near.. cos He has promised that "I will never leave nor forsake you"... that makes christianity more than just a religion...

I love my journey with God.. there are days that are not so rainbow.. but everything is a passing phase.. cos with God, He can make all things beautiful in His time! =)

It has been said: When I don't feel God near, guess who moved?

Yes. He is always with us.
That's why HE asks: Where are you?
Not for Him; but for us to answer - for our own sake.

Thanks again Mintan; as always, spiritually sharp.

    Be blessed.

In this part of my journey as I seek Him for direction for my future, I know He is with me although I may not feel Him that close. I may have been too caught up with issues to be aware that He is always around and so I cling on to His promise in Hebrews 13:5 "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you".

Thanks youmylifesong, for the reminder to be an insider - only we can drift away from Him, He will never drift away from us.

Great to know that the Lord is always with us whether we are aware or not, or even reject that truth; especially in our moments of failures.

Today, I wrote a reply to a soulcast blogger -borg- who is just returning to church. Today is the last day of my unintended 'homebound' annual leave because of my children's activities in school during their week long school holidays.
Today, I received an SMS that an elderly member who was cleared of stomach cancer a few years ago has just been confirmed after CT scan that he has cancer of the liver now. Today, I received phone calls and SMSs from members for help; advice about buying a laptop, listen in to a quarrel; a call for prayer. Today, I got upset with my children for getting at each other and messing up our trip to the mall. Today, I took a long rest...
Today, I have had many different feelings...

Today, my God is still there with me, no matter what happens or how I feel...

Today - Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Thank You God for the assurance. You are here, You are there. I know You are with all my cyber friends who I have not yet met, maybe never here.

    Thanks, friends.

My heart reach out to say: God loves you all, and I feel that love flowing too.

This Sunday, I will be going to preach in another Church upon their invitation. I am talking to God and asking Him for the Word from Him. Speak Lord, for Your servant heareth.
