December 7, 2008 at 10:15am I got a interesting phone call from the folks.  If you have been reading my past blogs you will see that I do not have the best relationship with my parents after moving out of the house.  I picked up the phone not knowing what to say to my Dad. We ended up starting to talk about how everything has been going with me.  Right then and there I knew I could easily talk to my Dad about everything.  Then I hear in the back round my mother talking to my Dad telling him things to say, but he would not tell me them.  The conversation was going well until right out of the blue my dad and my mom said they want to meet up with my boyfriend and I to go to dinner and talk.  I replied slowly thinking are they really serious? They want to meet with the both of us and talk? Wow, this is coming from the people who said they will not accept my boyfriend and I.  So I made a time to say how about we meet on the 14th of this month?  They of course replied we will do anything and be willing to meet you both half way.  I said okay then we will plan that day. 
After the phone call..I immediately called my Aunt that lives close by me to let her know what was going on.  She told me that was great that they are willing to meet up with us. Then as soon as I hung up the phone with my Aunt the phone rings again.....It's my Dad. I sat there wondering, did he forget to tell me something from the past phone call? Why would he be calling for the second time?
"Your mother and I were wondering if we can head up there tonight and meet you guys for dinner?"
WOAH!! Out of no where they want to drive 4 hours tonight when its snowing like crazy? How Unexpected?
"Well Dad I will have to get back to you on that to see if I am doing anything tonight...It's kind of a short notice.  I will only meet with you if both you and Mom are civil and there is no yelling. I will not talk to you if there's yelling going on. No one can have a conversation if people are yelling."
"WE PROMISE."


Well readers, they have said that many times before....I need help and advice...

Should I go and meet them tonight without any preparation of what to say or wait until another time?
