I really want to know if you would say anything if someone here was being un neccessarily rude would you say something or let it slide.

I want to know if in the real world of day to day interactions if a friend had eaten a bowl of cunt for breakfast would you say anything to them? or wait, or what?

Its like having bad breath, do you say anything? or not, its a personal issue, one friend comes to you and says man his breath stinks... then another friend says the same thing, then you stqand next to the offending bad breather and wow bessy!!! so do you say something?

Howdy Lucy! huh .... well i'll tell you, if someone is being rude, i ask- is this like them, are they having a bad day or is this the normal for them. if it is like them to be rude, their norm .... i am challenged, insulted and the battle of the mouth begins. .... if someone is having a bad day and acting like an ass, i overlook it and go on. now if it gets to be a habit just because i do turn the cheek, and they are ranting away....well i'll ask nicely, shut the fuck up. *smile*  now if someone, friend/family has bad breath, nope i'll remain quiet, if it a lover.... of course .... i will take him to the bathroom and put toothpaste on the brush for him. lol

hope you are doing well lady. just running around the neighborhood tonight and wanted to read up on you and whats a happening! ;~) have a good one. take care~see ya

So if its easy to discern between bad day or bad mood or pure nastiness then you mostly let it slide... what it its consistent over a few days..

like i said.... if it is becoming a habit... nip it in the bud!

hey looking here.... i love the freedom of no clothes. it is my way of hanging-out, being free, airing-out, and freezing my tits off! *smile*

yup if someone is pushing "too" many buttons, well help them out and ask what the hell is their problem. if they stink, gift wrap a bar of soap! lol

  • Hegemone said on Dec 06, 2008....
Well, if it was becoming a trend, and I knew the person well enough to realize that it wasn't just sarcasm or something along those lines, I would probably make a comment.  Something along the lines of 'Wow, what crawled up your ass?' or 'Little shitty today?'  But that's if I know the person well enough to depict between meanness or sarcasm.  If I don't know the person well, I tend to kind of wait to see the other person's reaction, or just to see any more examples before I perhaps make a comment.

I think I know what spurred this, and I'm not gonna say what, but I know I couldn't tell the difference if that was nastiness or sarcasm (I took it as sarcasm).  Plus, I don't know that I've seen enough posts/comments to know that it was becoming a trend.

Hey Lucy. I don't like rudeness, and personally, I don't feel it is EVER necessary. I also don't enjoy confrontation, soooo if someone was rude to me, at first I would ignore it. If it continued I would have to deal with it. We all deserve to be treated with respect, don't we? And what is all the naked talk about?? I know I'm old but did I miss something???
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
tee he hee no you haven't missed anything... glad you can't see me now... blogging naked... MeMy was running through the neighborhood before.. naked! OMG

Well I'm not usually up for confrontation but sometimes you know its irksome.... and I respond...
  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
Another HOT day for you?? MeMy must be a woman with a lot of confidence! After 35 streaking just doesn't seem like a good plan. Oh Lucy, the things you have to look forward to. I just hate to tell you!
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
ohh please... don't start on me now, I've just looked down at my gut and well... I can see it now, it never use to exist.. still I'm not gonna stop streaking... man if hubby still thinks I'm hot thats all I worry about.
  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
God Bless your hubby. I have no doubt that you are still Hot Lucy. Never fear, you can still be a little hot at 60. Just clothed!! LOL
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
Actually Woman, there was a lady I met years ago who was in her 60's, her name was Annie and she was the most attractive, sexy women I have ever met.  It wasn't just her poise and her mind, her whit it was her genuineness, her utter ease with the world.  I've always looked to her as some how being someone I want to mould myself on.  Her sheer elegance, its a life experience thing, she just shone.
  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
Ah, you understand. So what is Hot at 30 can change a little as you age. Annie is a lovely name, isn't it? She sounds like she realized HOW to be attractive at her age and that is NOT by trying to be 30! So, you CAN be fabulous at 60. Why, old men drool over me on a regular basis!!!
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
I bet they do.... Annie is a lovely name, very gentle huh? not like Tobi-Lee which is all mixed up and quite loud! LOL nothing like me at all....

    *snicker*
  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
Tobi-Lee is full of energy and the joy of living. Very attractive quality. I love your intensity Lucy.
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
Thanks Woman... I'm craking up here today... and about to say fuck it and give in... one ciggie ... just one.. thats all I want... urrrgggg
  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
Hang in their Lucy. You have strength with that intensity. It will get easier, for sure! How are those new clothes? Still high from that shopping trip?
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
I am indeed, I've ben wearing some of them out.. however today its a home day and damend hot to boot.  I'm wearing my swimmers right now... still sweat is trickling down my spine, no point in washing my hair.

I've been taking on average about 3 showers a day.... I sure would love a house with air conditioning... it would be like you not having heat in winter... it kills you so that by mid afternoon you're ready for a nanna nap.
  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
Do many homes have air Lucy? Truly, I couldn't live in that weather. It must be very hard of older or ill people. Can you put a small unit in your bedroom?
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
Ohh we have one in our bedroom Woman but our house is open plan, like most Queenslanders as they are called.  They are made this way so air moves freely through them.

Most new homes have air con, they're brick and look souless, so we make do with a house full of charm without air.  Its a relief at night in the bedroom with the air con but during the day... well, find a cool spot, take a bath or go for a dip in an icy river.
  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
Well Miss Lucy, if you can sleep comfortably at night that is a great help. I remember the days before air here (and summers can become very uncomfortable). Just lying in bed sweaty and sleepless. Perhaps you could post some pictures of your home Lucy. I'd love to see it. I'm heading to sleep now. I have a birthday party to prepare for tomorrow. Hubby's turning 61! He's so fortunate to have younger wife! Been nice chatting Lucy.
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
Ohh you have a fabulous day tomorrow and give your hubby a big Juicy Lucy kiss for his birthday!
  • Me-Myself&I said on Dec 06, 2008....

  • woman said on Dec 06, 2008....
MMI~Good attitude!! A sense of humor is the most attractive thing of all!!
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 06, 2008....
MeMy ~ You totally crack me up! actually you know there is a women I know who is knock out stunning yummm she's overweight, and I mean overweight, but her smile and her warmth light up the room and I swear I love being around her...
  • fragglesrock said on Dec 06, 2008....

hey! so my take on rudeness...

say a grocery store clerk is rude with me...i will smile sweetly and say 'i certainly hope your day gets better" it usually catches them off guard and they back pedal and try and be nice...i've had others that say "thank you, i really have had an awful day, i'm sorry"  it works. try it.  you do have to give just the right inflection of sarcasm, can't overdo it.  it's a skill you have to learn ;)

a friend..i use pretty much the same tactic. but more direct...i might say "is everything ok? b/c you seem very touchy/high strung/depressed (fill in your own word) and that's not normally like you" it works. i swear by it.

  • queenparanoia said on Dec 07, 2008....
well i say it to them in a nice way. but in real life i'm trying to just shut up because in the past i tend to say it out loud and it kinda hurts someone else feelings...
  • cntlvmenuf said on Dec 07, 2008....
I'm also the nonconfrotational type so I just ignore it the first time around, if its coming from strangers since I dunno them that well. It also depends on who is being rude...if I know the person is a brat then getting mad with them will only hurt me since they don't care. But if its a friend or coworker and they cross that line, then I tell them right there, "Listen, don't talk to me like that, no need to yell at me or talk to me like am stupid." I usually get an apology after that. I also did tell my ex once he stank. I was riding in a car with him and I had to roll the windows down in order to breath. ...

As for being comfortable in ones own skin, I've always been amazed at how when you get to know a person, the thing you remember the most about them is who they were. As you said, its people's character that draws us to them, regardless if they have a hot bod' or are overweight. And who said being toned IS the perfect body???
  • andora said on Dec 07, 2008....
fuck off lucy, you obsequious fake

    got death?

sucks to be the living dead trying desperately to act like you are so well adjusted and the rude motherfuckers are simply sub-human

it is people like you that depend upon creating human garbage as a means of aggrandizing yourself. I got news for you and all the 'nice' people that are still able to come to this site...wake up and smell the human garbage that you are so good at creating...this type of disturbance stalks people like you...have fun feeling so very smug as the miscreants slash and shred themselves through your reality.

Now that people are growing more desperate by the day, you will have to arm yourself, if you aren't already. then you can take your rude poll

sucks to be the living dead working overtime to not notice what they are indeed creating around them

    MWA HA HA HA

If someone is an adult and in a business or engaged in employment even at a low level, such things could mean termination. A person must gain the skills of hygeine very early in life and the way they do it is to receive comments from their peers or elders.  It is not only proper to politely tell them but it can be a positive experience for the perpetraitor.
If someone has odor, give him or her a gift designed to combat it: A small bottle of mouth wash or deordorant.  If someone is rude, hand him a passifier and when he asks you why you can say, "you suck."  If he is immature hand him a packet of seeds and tell him they are 'wup" seeds and that he needs to "grow wup."  You get the idea.  Draw a check (bank check) on a piece of paper and mark it "reality check".   On the Pay To The Order Of line put his name there.  Below that, where the cash amount should be, write, "You're rude" or "watch your breath."
Be clever and kind but make it stick.
  • diabolicdame said on Dec 07, 2008....
I don't know Luce.. ofcourse we should just say it to them if someone's being rude.. but confrontation is not as easy as it sounds.. so hard to say.. normally I just take the high road and ignore.. but if it were incessant then I dunno..
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 07, 2008....
Wow Andoranothing you must think you are so important eh? thank you for giving me the opportunity to block your sorry assed excuse for a human being. ha ha

Fraggles ~ Its all about how and when huh? I get that.

Queenie ~ That is exactly my thoughts too, sometimes I lack the tact you know?

Cnt ~ Yeh, its more approperiate I suppose to be less confrontational, with friends though should you not feel comfortable enough to say something to them straight up?

Writer ~ I've heard of people doing that, quietly placing a deodorant in the persons lap, smiling and actually being very nice about it. Clever? and Kind? well thats easy isn't it.

DBabe ~ Thats my point, I don't know either..... yet it seems to me that it may not be intended rudeness with most people, maybe a bad day!
  • uniquely-ironic said on Dec 08, 2008....
Late, but here's my 2 cents worth.

Here, if someone's being rude I will only jump in if the person they're being rude to is unable to protect themselves.

In real life I will give them some rope.  If they insist on using it all up they find the monster (me) tied to the end of it.  They leave that meeting with a new asshole.

Bad breath?  Well, if stepping back from them isn't hint enough and I know them, well I might offer them a breath mint.
  • uniquely-ironic said on Dec 08, 2008....
  • Lucytorial said on Dec 08, 2008....
Uni ~ Well you know where this post came from... anyway its past now and I have let myself get over myself tehe he he

The breath mints the key huh? I've done that one before.
