i believe that one reason i feel so passionately about these lyrics is because they are all written by the jonas brothers themselves. they are about real life situations that the boys have gone through throughout their lives. it makes me feel better to know that others have gone through the same situations as me and have made it out alright.
a few weeks ago in my school's newspaper, there was and editorial written about the jonas brothers and their fans. it pretty much just completely bashed them. it said that they weren't talented and that their voices weren't real. i respect people who have taken the time to listen to them and just don't like them. but you really can't say that they aren't talented. all three of them can play an array of instruments and have beautiful voices. and i am completely positive that their voices are 100% real. i've seen acoustic performances out in the middle of the streets where they couldn't possibly be faking their voices. if you just don't like their music, then fine, but no one has any reason to bash them. they're more talented then most bands out there these days.
the same girl who said they have no talent also said that their fans are "annoying." i actually somewhat agree with that statement. there are numerous girls out there who are overly obsessed with the jonas brothers. well their good looks, anyway. and these girls still call themselves true fans. i don't really understand how they can consider themselves fans when they don't even really listen to the music. they listen to the few songs that they play on the radio, which aren't even their best. then, they go around telling their friends how hot they are. yes, they're gorgeous, but that shouldn't be a reason for liking them.
recently, i've decided that i absolutely hate being a jonas brothers fan. i love nick, kevin, and joe with all of my heart, but it's just too much work. people make assumptions about you that aren't true at all and they automatically think that you're annoying and obsessive. it may be true about many of their fans, but not me. i have loved the jonas brothers for almost 3 years now and i don't plan on stopping anytime soon. this may sound terrible, but i wish they didn't have all of this fame. i'm proud of them and they deserve every bit of it, but it just really sucks. concerts were so much more fun when they weren't as famous. you could get good seats for less money and could actually have a shot at meeting them after the show. ah, those were the days.
