You may have noticed in Shadow of Legend v.0.3.0.0 that the Land of Agnes is crawling with creatures and possessed inhabitants that will attack you the instant you show up, and to make matters worse, the monsters are stronger in each new map that you discover!  Someone give us a break!

Leveling up is not too bad.  Quests will help boost your experience points, but if you want to be prepared for the next map, you MUST fight. The resistances to Chaos and the Seven Sons of Sin, Union and Tulmot have made Sanwennesia and Greyrock Castle, temporary centers for the resistance.  However, them alone cannot ward off the growing influence of the Sons. They and the Fiend plague the lands and infect the minds of the weak and weary.  Where is help when they need it?  Fortunately, the new recruits from Horea and Distant Valley are making fast process with their training to reinforce the scarce forces of the alliance.

On the lands of Horea and Distant Valley, the recruits receive their initial training, which is essential for when they fight the real thing. The stronger you become in your current map, the better you can take advantage of becoming even stronger in the next map.
