So, i was just told of a job at an alternative high school, teaching kids from 16 to 18 years old Flash Animation. It's pretty basic really. 17$ an hour and they have pretty flexible hours, working around my schedule. However, since I was told these kids can be trouble makers, im not sure i want to do this. Im not sure i'll have the patience with the troublemaking ones. I don't know what to do. it is only 12-20 hours a week. and it would be a great opportunity. But i don't want to have to deal with kids like that in my final year of BA.
what should I do?

Good luck.
It's an high school. No matter what you'll have troublemakers or at least smart mouths.
What I remember of my computer classes in highschool, the kids generally were well behaved because computers were fascinating. That was 20 years ago (ouch), so maybe it's not quite as fascinating as back then.

I'd like some - to go with all the whine around here. I gave a midterm exam yesterday. You would think I shoved bamboo shoots under the poor things' fingernails. I am such a meanie, asking them to recall things I have spent the last 9 weeks teaching!... read entire post
