So the day started like any other I guess - normally uneventful - the town that I live in normally only wakes up at around 6 30am Monday to Friday - so for me to leave for work at 5 45am like i normally do,its pretty easy going traffic wise as its a 45km journey to the office.
Getting to the office was a bit strange though - MSCB has now officially left the building,the company and to a large part,the town as well.
The first hour or so went by ok.I had noticed that my PC still hasnt come back from repairs.Where there was once 6 that worked - there are now only 2.It a good job there are only two of us left in the drawing room.
The Branch manager was due back in today after being at HO for 3 days.We had relative peace and quiet without him,and quite a large amount of work got done.
Until the calm was shattered by his grand entrance this morning.It is in his normal habit not to greet anyone when he gets in - its his habit and he is comfortable with it.We dont agree with it but we just tolerate it.This morning however,he enters and begins to complain bitterly about how he is under pressure all the time and how the office is not performing and nothing is done on time.Then he gets stuck in on a 'personal' attack on myself,where i was told the following;
'You are too slow' - oh reallymotherfucker? and how do you know anything about the productivity of this office considering you are not here most of the time
'Your quality is poor' - again,you never check anything that anyone does,so how the fuck would you know.I deal with the clients personally and they seem quite happy
'You dont take your work seriously enough' -at this point,I decided to switch off,for want of saying something to this prick that may start a real fight
'The MD is in the office tomorrow,and I think I will be chatting to him about you'...........mmmm,interesting,motherfucker - have you smelled whats growing out of your own ass before you come licking around mine.? I have clients on my side - who do you have on yours? An MD who eats out of your top pocket? Well,I always thought that the customer was always right and it was the customer who paid the invoices at the end of the day.
Need less to say - as a show of 'flower power' he decided to give me a ridiculous list of stuff to do that he wanted done today - its normally 3 days work - but,if for nothing other than to prove a point to this candyass motherfucker - I got it finished with about a half hour to spare.
He arrived at my desk at 4pm on the nose expecting me to still be suffering - when in fact I was playing Solitaire on the pc.I knew that game would come in handy some time.
So,needless to say - tomorrow sounds like its going to be a very entertaining day.
......I cant wait
