Mizuno Sunset Run 10K coming Dec 13

Now for this MILO Race, I had rigorous training that week Nov 24 to Nov 28. Whew! Endurance Training at Ultra and had some 25 laps at the oval without a stop nor decrease in my pace. It was either be in my usual pace 10kph speed or higher. I was so worried that time, I had some muscle sores at the right side of my right knee. Overpronation I think.

I'm using my mizuno shoes till now and the problem might be because of the arch. Tending my feet to push inward rather than straight. I run using my mid or toe and with my shoes with a poor arch probably made this injury.

It might be a sprain or something, and continued aching till thursday. That thursday night I had some speed training. Yes I knew that I was already injured but I need speed.

Had some 5 laps of running and had a recovery. Then next was my speed, regular pace for 100m then sprint to top speed for 100m and recovery for 200m. I'm sorry my recovery was so long. I made these speed training routine for 3 times.

When I sprint, I give everything that I can. All the remaining power, I burst it out to the finish.

All these were done twice on thursday night at Ultra.

I was amazed that I did'nt feel any pain on my knee. But I guess because I did'nt run too much though the practice was tremendous. So, overpronation might be the real cause.

Then here it came the MILO event. I was worried that I was not much prepared due to my injury. Then the gun fired, wooooooo ruuuuuunnnnn!

At 2.5km mark, huhuhuhu I feel the pain again. I used my mizuno shoes and there's no other shoes I can use except if I want  the other shoe and make me feel like I have weights.

Quitting the race came to my mind, but  my body really wanted to run. Except my right leg. I continued and compete with the others. My left leg does the job and let me finish the race. To tell you, I had some walks during the race. Maybe 1.5km of walk in total. Specially on the last stretch to the finish line. Hwaaaa my right leg almost cried in pain. I just walked and galloped to the finish line, holding my right thigh to stride.

A big thanks to my left leg, even if it does the work of my right leg, there was no stress, cramps, sores, etc. I felt that it only exerts a 60% of its total power. Except to my sowee right.

Not kidding or being too arrogant, I finished the race faster than the others. Hahahaha! What are you guys? I just used my left leg power hahaha! What more if I was not injured hehehe.

Now, I'm resting and had some cold compress on my sowee right. I'll be visiting a reflexologist tomorrow morning to consult. Then on the afternoon, I'll be buying two or three shoes. All are for running but one of it is for trail running. I might buy Adidas Supernova Sequence or Control, Adistar Revolt, Nike Lunaracer or Air Pegasus, Mizuno Wave Creation 9 or Nirvana 4 and a few running gears such as shorts, socks knee supports and some ointments.

All these in my preparation for next year. I badly want to win. Also, I want to join and finish the Bataan 102Km.
