Alright, I'm thinking holiday thoughts tonight.

What five gifts would you love to receive? Here are the limits:

1) Only one gift can be in the fantasy realm (like a million bucks, a bucket of diamonds, etc.).

2) At least one of the gifts must cost less than $50.

infernal- I think five are more than I can think of, but here goes :

A new pick-up (I'll have to wait 'till spring for this one).

A wooden ship model to build this winter - a Spanish Galleon.

A great big German chocolate cake.

    "Th - th - th - that's all folks!"

beyond: I'm not sure I knew you built wooden ship models -- how did I not know that?? Have you ever built a clipper ship? (I'm thinking along the lines of the Cutty Sark)

    1) Heck yeah I want a million bucks!  Not because I want to buy fifty cars with it or something though.  I want to have enough money that DH and I can both do what we like with our time (work, not work, go back to school a dozen times, etc.) without having to eat spaghetti every night for a month.

    2) A super deluxe multi-level cage for my rabbit.  I can't tell you how happy it would make me if he had a huge space to run around and explore because he is SUCH an awesome pet, I love him to death and he really deserves a lot nicer than what he has, but I just can't afford it right now myself.

    3) A selection (and I'm not talking samplers!) of really nice teas, not the kind you buy in the grocery store!

    4) Smelly stuff.  Anything "vanilla sugar" or "ocean" is a good bet.  Nothing too floral or fruity, more woodsy.  Lotions, body spray, body wash, aromatic oils (i.e. room fragrances).  "Firewood" by Bath&Body Works is a HUGE HUGE HUGE YES!

    5) Well...hm.  At first I couldn't think of anything for number five, and then I thought of like fifteen things.  But to pick one... A new CD for my collection never hurts!  Either Jackson Browne or Great Big Sea, any album I don't already have.

    Okay!  Here I go.

    1) ticket to travel around the world (my fantasy gift)

    2) a new mug from Starbucks (they always have the coolest ones!)

    3) a certificate for a day at the spas

    4) a bottle of my favorite perfume

    5) tickets to an event

    1.  My fantasy gift: A million bucks (SO much I could do, and have, with that!)
    2.  A new pair of shoes
    3.  A comfy fluffy terry-clothe robe
    4.  A new DVD player
    5.  Gift certificate to one of the clothing & apparel stores I shop at.

Either/or 2 & 3 could be under $50, so I've met that requirement too.  Surprisingly, it was kinda hard to think of what I wanted this year, as I really haven't been thinking of getting that stuff by way of gifts, was planning on buying it (well, not a certificate for clothes, but buying the clothes).

I guess I should try to answer this too, huh?

    1) A surprise visit from someone far away on Christmas Eve (my fantasy gift)

    2) A Nikon D40 (or D60, once we're in that price range!)

    3) One large Yankee Candle jar (Midsummer's Night scent)

    4) A silver or white gold right-hand ring

    5) A gift certificate to JoAnn Fabrics

Let's see....I never know what I want for gifts. But if I could have my fantasy present, then I'd be pretty damn happy getting nothing else at all.

Fantasy gift: Enough money to pay ALL my bills and take a vacation

    Under $50: iTunes gift card?

Three random gifts: new scanner for my computer, new computer chair that isn't falling to pieces, DVD's

Materialistically I'm quite content right now.. can't think of anything more I could ask for.. a million bucks maybe but I don't really need it.. I'm fine with what I have.. so all I want is for my prayers to come true and for god to show me the best way forward. Thats all.     :-)

infernal- I usually build airplanes like I'm doing now. But I've always wanted to build a ship. Problem is, model ship building takes much talent and experience. I was perusing model ships on the net and found this galleon they said could be built with reasonable model building experience even though its wooden. I asked for it for Christmas. We'll see what happens.

all i want for now is time enough to go back home and hug the kids. that's all.
It's very difficult to file a leave of absence from my work, so it has been a year since last I saw my kids. I might just decide to be sick one of these days and sneek back home for a week hehehehe
