I've tried to make it a habit of saying hi to many of SoulCast's new members. I feel that it gives them incentive to keep posting, because yes, someone is reading your blog, and it doesn't let the lonsome feeling ever grow.
For this reason I tend to frequent the "Recent Posts", and find the newbies within the same few minutes of their 1st post. A simple "Welcome to SoulCast" goes a long way in making someone feel a heck of a lot more welcome. It also fosters good relations from day or post number one on.
I also have been tagging those 1st posts with 1st post , not because I'm trying to call you out as being new, but mostly because if you decide to keep that tag there and not erase it or mark it as a bad tag, it keeps a history, and allows you to go back and see where you began on this lovely blogging endeavor. I also tagged my post in the same fashion.
A couple of other things I've done with my blog is create a post named Danj3ris Inbox Plus, a post meant to serve as an inbox of sorts, and to tell a little bit about me. I liken it to a Profile Page of sorts. I'd love to have people comment that post specifically when they wish to communicate with me concerning everything in general. Of course I cant force anyone to comment there if they dont want. It just makes it easier for me.
Then there is my daily haiku. I do this because it foster's creativity and keeps me actively posting, even when I have nothing else to talk about.
I've also written a bit concerning my thinking and strategy of making all of my other SoulCaster's out there some money through adsense. I've utilized that strategy, maybe you should too.
Anyway, Happy Blogging all. And if I missed welcoming some of you, I apologize.
