Well, just to prove that the universe is balanced and that no good deed goes unpunished, I got a ticket on the way to work this morning. For those of you with sensitive ears, you might want to click away for a moment.
Fuckity Fuck Fuck Fuck!!!! Fucking Cops!!! Stupid ticket!!!! Screw those stupid beaurecrats and their Fucking rules!!!
Where I live you have to make a left turn out of the driveway. I need to go right to get to work. In order to make a legal U turn, you have to drive about 1/2 mile to the first stop light. There are several turn outs before that, but they're all illegal U turn spots.
For almost 2 years I've been making the same illegal U turn with absolutely no problems with oncoming traffic.
So this morning some stupid motorcycle cop pulls me over. A warning would have been enough. I mean, I'm about 10 days away from moving out of the neighborhood, so why would I push it? Now I have to go to court and see if they'll let me take traffic school, pay an additional fine and try to keep this thing off my driving record.
Ironically, when I mention to big boss that I got a ticket, the first thing out of his mouth was. "Speeding?" Is it that obvious that I have a lead foot? No, not speeding, illegal turns that absolutely harm no one but raise the revenues for the city I'm am going to move out of.
This whole thing leaves me in a pretty shitty mood this morning.
