I'm not in to running but I like to face challenges.
My friends just popped out and said, let's join the MILO eliminations! Let's try 5K run!
A surprise and unexpected statement and I hurriedly say YES let's join!

We were not able to apply/register for the said event, so we decided to be renegade runners.
Renegade runners is our term for joining the event without registration. Hehehe

I was not able to participate, but my friends were. Want to know why?
Oh my, I was badly drunk the night before. Hooooooooo

So, they were bullying me....

From that time, they usually jog and have their training in UP campus...me? nope

There comes the Adidas KOTR, hwoala! That time I was really determined to be registered.
I was so excited! It was my first time to participate, a certified newbie, a neophyte...all I know was to run.

I kept on running and saw the others how they make their pace. Jog but with speed, what I does was sprint when I have enough power then slows down to relax for some time.

My way of breathing seems working that time though I felt some exhaustion. To the last stretch of the course, I bursted out everything. All the remaining power I had, bursted out in a few seconds. Sprint to the finish line!

The results? huh...I'm too proud of this.
5K run = 26mins 24seconds 107th place out of less 1400 participants

another fact...I was drunk the other day, and had only an hour of sleep.

I enjoyed the run, despite of pain and stress but the feeling of accomplishment, the feeling that I had conquered something. From there, I decided to be a runner.

I keep myself updated for the years race events, and so I also joined the NB power race at Clark. 10K run, since I knew that 5K wasn't my limit.

Haha! The feeling of excitement, the feeling of what would be the results. YES! come upon me!

The course has up slopes and down slopes, yeah..that was so cool. Nice weather, but again I was drunk the other day, and 2 hours of sleep. I watch out my pace and reserve some power to be used in the other half (5K).

Everytime I was taking the down slopes...booooooost!
I just ran with a regular pace but I let my body weight to create acceleration and speed up.

I had some disappointments to myself, I did not push myself. To the finish line, at the last stretch, I wasn't able to make my usual finish. I sprinted only for about 200m. My way of sprinting is to create speed from the regular pace and continuously increasing till I pass the finish line. Regardless of how hard it'll be, as long as there must be an increment in speed.

Anyway, for 10K run...I'm proud but not so proud.
10K run = 54mins 42 seconds 47th place out of 538 participants

My next run will be a 10K again by UNICEF. It ill be on Nov. 23 The Fort
Then next will be a 5K in MILO Manila Finals.
I'm so determined to win and get a new PR (personal record)

All these are my preparations to at least finish the 102K run in Bataan.
Wish me luck!
