Olia was really excited because today is my birthday. She made a poster for me that said I am really nice and am the best mom in the world! She also made some cards for me with pictures of herself she printed from her computer. Joe gave me a snowflake ornament kit to make with Olia. It has a ton of tiny little beads that are strung together with wire. Dan and Olia also gave me magazines to read on the plane to Disney. A few of them were preteen magazines. Wonder who is going to read them! They also gave me new chips for my camera and a new battery and case for it. Olia gave me a hairdryer and it is PINK! I had told her that I needed a new hairdryer about a month or so ago. Olia has a really good memory!
I need to call my friend Gennady and see if he can give me a contact for a Russian speaking psychologist. I think I want to get Olya tested when we host her. I also will take her for a physical and a dental exam to make sure she is healthy. I am excited that she is coming. I started to look at girls' names in the event that we consider adopting her. We would have to change her name because we can't have two girls with the same name. I was trying to think of something close to Olya, but there aren't a lot of American names close to that. Maybe Alexa and call her Allie(Dan didn't like that idea). I wanted something with the uh sound and an O sound so it is similar to her Ukrainian name. But I am probably getting way ahead of myself!
