Crunchy Nuts

I was watching TV today when a commercial came on, advertising a new candy bar that is extremely crunchy, and full of nuts. "What do you call something that's so crunchy and nutty?" the commercial asked. "Crunchy nuts!"

I couldn't believe it. Crunchy nuts? Is this some kind of joke, or is this candy bar specifically targeted at gay people? I mean, what kind of slogan are they going to come up with to complement Crunchy Nuts?

  • For the man who loves to crunch on nuts.
  • You'll love shoving our crunchy nuts down your throat.
  • Nut crunchers wanted.

And don't even get me started on the shape of the candy bar.

    You know, you are one of my favorite posters on SC. I read your posts, but can never think of anything witty to say in reply. I want you to know, however, that you crack me up and help me get through my oh-so-mundane existence of practicing law... You'd think after a year of practicing, I'd be good at it... oh well. (see, I'm not witty at all; I am just a big dork).

    Also, I'm gay, but I have no desire for crunchy nuts. Maybe it is because I am a lesbian, so nuts of all varieties aren't really my thing. I thought I had an allergy, but it turned out to be too much tequila.
