This case involves a potential alien marking of a different kind
than we have discussed and comes from the immediate
environment of an event. It begins with a Police Officer (an
admitted abductee) I was working with at the time.
His family was all at his home for a visit. It is interesting to note
here that Jim’s parents and sister are also abductees. This follows
the statistical pattern we’ve found to date that abductions tend to
run in families. His sister slept on the couch, Mom and Dad were
in the bed and Jim slept on the floor in the living room. So now
we have 4 abductees in the same household! Guess who’s coming
for dinner…or perhaps to tuck someone in.
His mother wakes up, freaking out as she senses “something is
wrong” (I hear this over and over from abductees). She runs to
the living room and sees a bell-shaped object (she later describes
as “about the size of a 2 to 3 foot church bell”) over her son’s
head where he lay sleeping soundly. The bell shaped object is
emitting a bright light on his face…she screams, and he and the
entire family immediately awakens. Jim wakes up looking for his
gun, thinking someone is in the room. The bell shaped object
disappears. Other physical evidence remains.
The Police Officer is left with a “moon-burn” (term from “Close
Encounters of the 3rd Kind”) on the right side of his face and a
phosphorescent pea-sized object is left behind next to his head. Is
the object naturally phosphorescent or is the phosphorescence due
to touch or contact with the bell or light from the bell? We don’t
know. I suspect it is due to touch or contact. This event happened
in his apartment. There were other events (in other places)
happening to him too…as I was about to find out.
I got a phone call not long after this event from Jim who owns an
Athletic Club and works there during his off work hours from the
Police Department. He began to tell me excitedly of an intriguing
set of small handprints that had appeared on a glass window at
the club.
When they did not go away and repeated efforts to clean the glass
thoroughly did not affect the quality of the handprints, he called
me to investigate. It sounded intriguing and I went to the site as
quickly as I could. It had been there for some time before he called
me about it (once again consistent with an abductee not
reporting evidence). It was because of my continuing contact
with this abductee who owned the business that I came across the
image at all.
I was already investigating an abduction case from this place of
business (the policeman and his family), now the hands had
appeared and it seems other events and happenings were
occurring in this same building, especially after business hours.
The contractor and his dog used to stay there and work at night.
They don’t do that anymore… “too many weird things happen
there”, was the report. It was an interesting place and for me, it
would soon get more interesting.
I arrived at closing time at his request. While observing his
numerous 3-feet by 5-feet glass windowpanes, I queried the
officer on why one of them was covered up. (It was covered with
pieces of black construction paper in an odd sort of way). He
retorted, “It scares people!” Since I knew some of his abduction
history and events, I suspected it was upsetting him a bit too.
The small, apparently deformed hands and forearm imprints left
in the glass, gave an eerie feeling to the people who inadvertently
saw the image in the glass pane. At my insistence, he uncovered
the window…but only after hours when no one else was around.
You could see it was raining outside and this created a very clear
and magnified effect of the image. A “ghost-like” quality might
be a better description than any scientific/medical imagery I
could give you.
“They don’t look quite human”, was probably the most common
remark I heard from the staff and clients who were willing to
discuss them at all. I very much agreed. When I stood inside the
building looking out the window, I could clearly see two small
thin arms and larger deformed hands almost giving the
appearance of an imbedded hologram. The “hands” seemed to be
coming right at me. They appear as on the outside of the glass, as
though entry into the building was being made. Knowing the
history of some of the abduction events that had happened there
and the alien’s propensity to enter through glass doors, I mused
this may have been an entry point. Then I was told they would
appear distinctly at times as they did now while I was observing
them and be very difficult to see at other times…this definitely
deserved an investigation.
Of course I wanted the windowpane, so I asked the officer; “May
I have your window pane?” As I smiled, he said, “Certainly!” He
and his clients were happy to be rid of it! The window was 3 feet
by 5 feet tall. I measured up from ground level to a height of 30
inches where the image of the wrists began above that level. I
hired two glass professionals to come take the glass out and cut
around the hand imprints in a 16-inch square cut. The glass
company took their $300 and replaced the glass with a replica of
tinted glass. I got my sample and the business was able to
uncover all of the windows again and had hope of gaining some
insights into what was happening there.
The handprints appeared actually imbedded in the glass. I
thought it might be possible that this was the same phenomenon
that can occur when a person is standing next to a window when
lightning strikes. Sometimes a faint image of the individual
appears later in the glass. If the brightness of a light was directly
behind an entity, could it produce the same effect? That is one of
the questions I wanted to pursue.
The first thing I did upon procuring the sample was to attempt to
remove the imprint by a thorough cleaning. I had attempted that
before I had it removed just as they had at the Athletic Club on
many occasions. This was a business that took pride in its
appearance. I wasn’t satisfied. Since my experience with attempts
to remove Alien Fluorescence, I had many compounds on hand to
try out. The resistance of these imprints to cleaning compounds
and the fact that they appeared actually imbedded tended to
remind me of the cases of Alien Imbedded Light Patterns I was
finding on abductees. They were just as resistant to removal.
Because the entity, if indeed that is the originator of these
“handprints” would be in transition (going through solid
matter), I did not expect to find physical evidence beyond the
apparent visual evidence and I did not. There was no fluorescence
on the handprints specifically, either in a warm or cold state,
although there was a faint glow in the pane. There are times
when some samples may show only a slight fluorescence under
normal conditions yet may fluoresce intensely under cold
conditions due to the combinations with metal ions. A MUFON
Investigator and friend of mine, Dennis Streetman of Denver,
confirmed the presence of the fluorescence in the glass itself. I did
some other experiments with it and then asked Dennis to make a
study on the pane in addition to my own. Here is a part of his
fine reporting of his visual examination.
“In late May 1996, I had the opportunity to examine a piece of
tinted glass that I had been hearing about for several months. It
was said to have a pair of handprints that could only be seen
when dew point was reached and condensation formed on the
glass. This I had to see!
“I met Derrel Sims at Denver International Airport to take him
to the UFO conference being held in Denver. After arriving at
the conference, he took an ordinary-looking piece of tinted glass
out of his briefcase and handed it to me. It was now my job to run
it through as many nondestructive tests I could think of to
determine what would cause this phenomenon.
“The first test I could think of was the most basic, visual
inspection. This involved holding it up to a 200-watt light source
to look for any distortion through the glass. There was none
visible. Next was to look for surface distortion with light
reflecting off the surface at a high angle of incidence. This was
done in bright light as well as dim light in a darkened room. Still
no visible distortion.
“The second test was with polarized light. I used a linear
polarizer on each side of the glass in front of a 100-watt light
source with a ¼ wave filter to cause interference enough to show
distortion as a spectrum or rainbow. There was no evidence of
distortion even under a 20x stereoscope.
“The third test was to use ultraviolet light. The UV light caused
a layer to fluoresce just under the surface on the side opposite
that which reveals the handprints. This layer showed no sign of
disturbance. It fluoresced evenly from edge to edge. There were
no other fluorescent layers.
“The glass was cooled in a refrigerator and then exposed to room
temperature at high humidity. The handprints became clearly
visible immediately upon the formation of the condensation. Even
after repeated cleaning with various window cleaners and alcohol
the prints would return every time I removed the glass from the
refrigerator or freezer.”
I would like to get more testing done. A Professor at the
University of Colorado suggested the use of an interferometer to
interface it with. If the image is deep enough we could possibly
pull out a 3D image of what went through the glass! What’s the
hold up? Why isn’t the investigation complete? This single test
would cost $12,000. That kind of funding is not normally
available to the UFO Researcher, as many of you know. The wife
of a NASA scientist from the Clear Lake area called a few weeks
later explaining her husband said the same thing could be done
with lasers. Since I know of this scientist’s work and his many
innovative inventions, I was very interested, but he did not show
up.
As in all of my research, I look for confirming evidence in the
information I collect. I am alert to stories that differ significantly
from those of others. The basic memory of the abduction scenario
is often so bizarre that it would seem no sense could be made of
them. Yet, when you get to the real memory, the real evidence,
there are commonalities that come forth. If that doesn’t happen, I
put my “cop hat” on. I have been offered evidence that I rejected
for good reason only to find it come up in the hands of another
investigator…with an entirely different and carefully weaved
story (often with great intrigue) behind it! It seems if one
investigator doesn’t bite, some “creative individual” will just
change the story a bit and try another. It does seem to work. In
some cases I have a pretty good idea who is behind it all.
In the case of the alien hands in glass story, there seem to be
other cases out there similar to this. I have a friend in Australia
who has a case with alien fingerprints on a mirror and has done
DNA testing. In another case, not yet confirmed by or to me, a
man in Tucson, Arizona told me of similar prints in a piece of
glass. A team of researchers in Italy informed me of a hand with
fingers that left the image on a glass pane. These cases, under
investigation in different parts of the world, my firm belief in the
abductee Police Officer and what I know about the morphology of
the alien through over a 1000 cases convinces me there is
something very different about this pane of glass. With the
interesting small features of the imprints within the glass itself,
their ability to appear and disappear, their placement on the
window and the “contacts” reported at the Athletic Club, I am
still hopeful to have further testing.
