When I got up this morning, it was pouring rain!  I was sort of happy because I thought that football and cheerleading would be cancelled.  I had a lot of cleaning to do!  Unfortunately I wrenched my back so I couldn't clean at all.  I only bent over; I don't know how I hurt my back.  So I was stuck on the couch.  Olia vacuumed so that she earned the $10 to pay me for the High School Musical3 CD I purchased during the week.  I had a five dollar off coupon so I only paid $10 for it.  Olia had to vacuum to earn the money to pay me so that she could have the CD.  It was a great motivator for her to get her jobs done! Olia also had to put in a load of wash because I couldn't bend over.  It is annoying to be injured.  The rain stopped so cheerleading was not cancelled.  I drove Olia to the game and I sat in the car reading the paper most of the time so that I didn't have to lif up and bend over getting in and out.  I usually watch the entire cheerfest! Since the team won the game, they will be in the playoffs and have another game next weekend.  Cheerleading seems to go on forever.
The family who is planning to adopt Dasha has all of their paperwork completed and will get it submitted this week.  I am sure that Dasha is anxious to be adopted.  Their daughter Amber told me that Dasha is going to be homeschooled for the rest of the school year after she is adopted. I know that some adoptive parents homeschool their kids so that they bond more with them, especially older kids. Some of the adoptive parents at Olia's Bible School church homeschool. They have a great homeschooling network and they meet once a week fot music, art, etc.  I think it would be fun to homeschool with a cooperative child! We sent Olia to school because I work and I also wanted her immersed in the language.  Olia also does not take direction well from me!  I am so so glad that she couldn't speak much English when I taught her the multiplication tables.  She couldn't argue with me because she didn't know enough English to argue. It really is fascinating how a child's brain can so easily learn a second language.
After cheerleading Olia's friend Katelyn and her sister came over because their parents had to go out.  This time they played without yelling and being crazy because I gave Olia the third degree speech before they came!  The three of them are all nice girls but they can get wound up when they are together!
Dan went to Penn State yesterday with my brother-in-law.  They are going to go to the football game today.  Olia was mad that she didn't get to go because my niece Erica and her boyfriend are visiting Renee for the weekend and she wanted to see them.  And Joe and Kat are also there for the game. But Olia couldn't have gone even if they had an extra ticket because she had to go to cheerleading today. She would get kicked off of the competition squad if she missed another game.  This cheerleading squad is serious business! She will miss some of the practices when we go to Disney World over Thanksgiving.
