When my husband and I had been married about ten years he had an affair with the mistress from hell. I'm not taking any of the blame away from him. In the beginning my beef was with him I had nothing to say to the other woman. I felt my husband was the one that took the vows before God. I didn't know what he told her about me. If we were together or not. If he was lying to me he could be lying to her. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. He ended the affair and we decided to try and work things out. That was when it all started. Being stalked by the other woman. It started with her calling to inform me that he told her he wanted to divorce me and he was going to marry her. Of course he denied it. She told me he was only staying with me because he loved our children. She said she knew he was a good father and would not leave because it would hurt them. Then she told me he was still seeing her so I should just divorce him. I guess when I didn't kick him out that was her breaking point. That's when the hang up phone calls started. We would get calls all day and night. When that did not get the reaction she wanted she had her friends call and ask to speak to my husband. If he answered the phone she would get on to talk to him. When he heard her voice he would just hang up. That just made her mad. She would call crying and cursing me out. She got a couple of men she knew to call and say I gave them my number. Trying to get my husband mad. When this did not work she started calling my job saying she was family members of mine. She would call his job several times a day saying she was me. Trying to get him to the phone. She tried to befriend and hang out with family members of his. She made herself known to his family as his girlfriend. She called my parents telling them she was my husbands girlfriend and that he wanted a divorce. She started riding by my job to see if he was there picking me up. She would sit in her car across the street from my house. If we went out she would follow us around seeing where we went. A few times when I was visiting my parents I saw her sitting across the street from their house. She told me that she wanted him and I was in her way. She said she would do whatever it took to get him. Thinking back I ask myself why didn't I just leave him. I think because to me that would mean she won. I was not going to let that happen.
