  I'm having a half assed POETS day, but I'll take it.  I'm only down one boss.
   
  I had my tubes clamped, which is the non-thermal version of having them cauterized.  (Lord woman! speak english!)  It was an out patient procedure in 1994, they made two tiny incisions in my belly button to get in.
   
  I do remember a day or two of being heavily drugged on pain meds.  I also had referred shoulder pain from air bubbles that was a bitch.  That's pretty good considering the alternative  though.

  Ok, well I've not personally had any experience with tubes being tied or getting any man bits snipped for my non-wanting-to-be-preggers benefit ... but I know a couple of people who have done things.  My SIL just did an IUD, it's a thing that goes in for five years and you have the option to remove it... that's just in case you're not 100% sure you want to make such a final decision.  So far seems to be so good there, also it's supposed to knock out her monthly visitor. 
   
  My SIL's SIL got her tubes tied, which from what I heard wasn't bad ... but they didn't listen to the doctor when they undid it because they wanted to be pregnant.  They were told to wait three months before they even thought about doing anything.  They made it approximately three weeks, screwed around, got knocked up, had a tubal pregnancy and lost the baby after about two months.  Very said, but had they listened it may not have happend (as now, almost a year later, she's pregnant with twins and they are not a tubal pregnancy).
   
  So far as getting the guy bits snipped ... well ... I seem to remember a couple of friends of the family having discussed getting this procedure done, and to my recollection, neither of them had any 'pleasing' problems at any point.  On any of the aforementioned things I didn't hear about any lack of sexual performance or desire.  Sooo.... there's my take on it.  G'luck!

  Wishy I had a great night, hubby and i touched base for the first time in AGES.. we listened to classical music ALL night.. fabulous and yeh I think I had a couple of drinks for you...
   
  Uni ~ They say that clamping isn't 100%? but it seems easy with two little incissions... hmm
   
  Hege ~ You're a veritable enciclpedia! thank  you dear.. well, I can't use IUD's I had one put in a few years ago and well lets say that that sucker got whipped back out again after 6 months... hated them. Didn't suit me or my body at all.
   
  There's no chance of wanting kids hon, not now not ever.. so its a final decision, either I get it done or hubby has his bits fiddled with (I'm not that keen to be honest) anyway seems like there are a few choices to talk to my doc about anyway.  Thanks guys.

  Sure as hell plugged me up!  I am a naturally fertile woman (got pregnant within the first month each time) so give it some thought.

  I will be making a LONG visit to my doc... If anything happens at all it will be next year in our quiet season.  Fertile huh? well hubby is suppose to be infertile and deary I've gotten myself knocked up a couple of times.... although the last one didnt stick anyway I DO NOT want to go there again.

  my mom had her tubes tied... well after 5 kids she has too...lol... but if you feel comfortable with it why not... ;-)
