Google’s motto‘do no evil’ is no longer valid, because day by day Google is turning to be more evil. Most of us know nothing about this.I personally don’t have any hatred against Google, but I writing this post simple to spread awareness that they are logging / track each and every search query passed through Google. And would you mind if somebody spies on you ? Recently AOL leaked this data, similarly Google might also leak this information in the near future.

It's true that google is spying, but you shouldn't call that spying.

If you are speaking about the cookie set by google, there is always an option in your firefox or IE to set like "delete all cookies when ever firefox exits, or after 'n' days". so you can't say google is spying, actually the cookie stores what ever you search, just to help you, and people call it spying, then I ask you to delete cookies.

one more thing is personalized search, if you dont want google to remember your searches in its server, then go to options and disable the personalized search. Now do you remember that when you created the gmail, you might have ticked that "enable personalized search" option. You checked it and now you are blaming about privacy???

I love google. if you found this information somewhere, it's just a tactic to move google down, and nothing else.

May be you dont know how cunning the yahoo messenger is??
just install ZoneAlarm firewall, and it will tell everything yahoo messenger tries to do, here's the list

there's no option to tell yahoo messenger "PLEASE DONT AUTO START AT START UP", and it sets itself to autostart everytime starts. IT DO RECORDS WHAT YOU TYPE

Yahoo toolbar has an antispyware, but it itself is a spyware.

please exit your yahoo messenger that sits on your tray everytime you logout, I RECOMMEND THIS.

Now see, all the above three sounds really perfect and true, because that's how I said them, but they aren't true, I'm just kidding. I have told this to make you believe that it's easy to start rumors, sometimes by misconception, by not understanding the reality. You have to be so technically strong and fully aware of that to comment, you can do so as I did, but it spreads and spoils the future of a company. So dont spread these rumors unnecessary and believe that most of these are started by the opposition

I think your all missing the point a bit. Unlike MSN which guarantees certain user rights to privacy, Google does not protect your information to the same extent. It reserves the right to read your mail as well as to pass on your information to various third parties if requested. This means that if the FBI etc asks google for your account info (including e-mails) they may oblige. While the FBI etc are sure to be able to legally force MSN to hand over details it will at least demand a court order, on the other hand google may just hand it over if asked. The main reason gmail doesn't secure privacy rights is that it has various programs running that checks your emails for key words and sends you appropriate adverts. For example you get an email from your mate in Thailand you will receive adverts on the page for flights, hotels etc in Thailand. Though there isn't an actual person reading your mail there are programmes constantly 'spying' on you. This marketing tool is tied into google search so the sites you visit while signed into gmail will all be recorded and used for marketing purposes Although the current purpose of the 'spying' is a marketing tool the fact that they reserve the right to spy on you is a bit worrying. The further worrying thing about Gmail is that it does not guarantee that it will delete your emails from their system when you delete them on our end... The google team having the right to keep deleted email and read them at their leisure certainly is a bit disconcerting. ....Yes it is quite legal but that doesn't mean that it's not spying and doesn't mean that it's not course for concern.

f google .. they spy and delete accts w/o cause. they sell pay per click to dreamers who wont nake money, so their whole operation is just a scam.
they dont give away prem services for nothing. privacy and emails? you can forget it
you better make sure your identity is kept secret from them and i'd advise against sending anything to anyone you would not want someone else to read.
i dont trust anybody you cannot contact. google has a contact form, and then you get an auto reply that says they dont reply to your email. so why the f* do they have the contact form?
