I'm curious. Who are the Filipinos here in Soulcast?
I'm visiting sites and seeing comments written in
Filipino and I can't help but wonder how many of us
are here.

This is not to discriminate or what. Last Sunday,
we were taught that diversity brings more glory
to God. It's just that I'm proud to be Filipino and
am not ashamed to let others know I am. And I
wanna know, too, the cool guys and gals who are
here. Rest assured, I wouldn't want to pry in your
private lives...I also want to remain as sigroid75 to you...

God bless you all! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!!!:-)

Hello, kumusta kababayan? Well, to be blatantly honest I am a Filipino. I am proud to be one, although I don't make it a point to let EVERYBODY know, if someone were to ask me where I come from, I wouldn't think twice and simply say that I come from the Philippines. Mabuhay tol!

    Sigroid,
You have to stop telling everyone I look like Marcos, maybe the next time I go to Manila, the NBI will go after me!! Takod na takod !!!!! hahahahah
I am really scared Imelda will fall in love with me...
  • Susmaryosep said on Aug 22, 2006....
I got an idea. I will tell everyone you look like Kris Aquino... hihihihihihih
  • paidinblood said on Aug 22, 2006....
sigroid: Yes I am a Christian.

Susmaryosep: LOL! First Imelda, and then Kris Aquino.. you have one weird sense of humor. Weird yet effective.
  • Susmaryosep said on Aug 22, 2006....
You know that Kris? She is a bad influence to kids. She interviewed mayor "chong" joey Marquez, and ended up in bed with him! Did she also get some STD after that? Tsismis lang, or toto o? hahahahaha
Her Kid joshua must be a teenagar now! His birthday is June 4....
Thanks paidinblood, I like your description of my wit. It's accurate, and a nice compliment. BTW, any meaning to your name? sounds 'gory' the blood there... hahahahahah
  • sigroid75 said on Aug 23, 2006....
sus!!! i don't look like kris aquino at all!!! hahahaa
she's so singkit and i have big eyes!!! hahahah
and im several shades darker too!!! ahahaha

she's a bad influence, right. and if her father were
alive, i wonder what he will say. or i wonder, too,
that if her father were alive today, if she would turn
out like she is today? no? :-)

the bomb: welcome to soulcast and yes, do enjoy

sus: paidinblood is not gory. he is just being thankful
that Jesus died for him on the cross and he acknowledges
that his sins had been paid in full by Jesus' blood.
i hope paid, that i explained it well.:-)

  • Susmaryosep said on Aug 23, 2006....
    Sigrid,
Oh that explains the "bloody" name :-) . Please excuse me if sometimes I lack the understnading of the religious nature of some posts. ..
I also think laughter-ness is next to Godliness?
Besides having clean toes, of course! :-)))))))
Oh you are a morena! That's pretty too, and big eyes? all the more to do the "malagkit ang tingin" look on me huh? hihihihihi

Hello Sunset, Welcome, and hope your 'sun rises' in Soulcast!
  • paidinblood said on Aug 23, 2006....
    Sus:Huh? Who's a morena? I'm male btw.

sigroid75: Yes, that pretty much sums it up, neatly too, I must say.

If you take a look at it from a different perspective, technically, it is a gory name but with a religious motive.
  • Susmaryosep said on Aug 24, 2006....
Sigroid75 is.. I know you are male, blood. Now I understand the meaning behind the name, I respect it, really. Actually you can see quite a lot of guys "paying in blood" during the Holy Week?

    translation for sus:

for all those who commented here, now I know who are pinoy. Don't worry, I will support you. I was clicking your ads earlier, but there was a problem with jacaranda because his(/her) ads wouldn't display correctly. I don't know why, just something about his site being unaccessible...

Sus: Susmaryosep! It took me 5 days to reread this post again, and I did sure miss a lot! Anyways you have just added 1 year to my age! Tee-hee! I'll be turning 19 early of next year so I still have two more "teen" years to go!

Sig: Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder-- booty is in the eyes of the pervert! haha

I keep "hearing" sus saying over and over again: "I love pinays"

Here's something I learned in school:

    Sus loves pinays.
    Sigroid is pinay;
    therefore, Sus loves Sigroid??

    Tee-hee!
  • mr_right14 said on Sep 01, 2006....
    Hey wazzup FILIPINO'S!!!

Well I would say I'm a proud pinoy but I'm ashamed of what other pinoys do.

Most of us stand proud for being a countryfolk of some pinoy well known to the world.

Why would we just make our own recognition? And be proud of ourselves.

If everyone makes his own way to be known by the world, and not criticizing others' work as like having a crab mentality.

Our country had been intoxicated as I would say. They have bad impressions but also there are good impressions.

Anyway, how can we be patriotic if our government are like these?

The PHILIPPINES is sinking and it needs the help of its people!
    Everything must be changed!
  • Susmaryosep said on Sep 01, 2006....
    Paid blood,
The set theory does not work in love! Sigrid is a charming person, who has an effervescent personality, and is about to be married to a guy who writes sweet letters, and they gonna spend their honeymoon in Malaysia eating Durians! But I am not sure they can face each other at night, after that durian feast... hahahahahah

    Sigrid,
No the song is not 'hiram' only the show where kris was Atay Diana,. :-) She was pretty, probably due to the make up aritst. I am envious of James Yap! hahahahahah
  • paidinblood said on Sep 01, 2006....
Sus: I was just messing with you. :p Hell, the entire argument was materially invalid to begin with.

I don't want to comment on Kris Aquino since she pisses me off at first sight. Oh well, I guess I just did.

mr-right: don't worry my friend...let's do our fair
share to make our country a better place to live in.

for starters, these are what i do:
    1. pray for our country
    2. pray for my city
    3. pray for the leaders
    4. i don't throw garbage anywhere except the trash can
    5. i don't urinate on walls (im a girl...hahaha)
    6. i ask for my receipt
    7. i am punctual on my appointments
    8. i am considerate to other people's personal space
    9. i tell drivers to stop honking their horns unecessarily
    (sa jeep)
    10. i tell people in public vehicles to stop smoking

these are some of the things i do. even if the whole
world does not become like me, i do my share. don't
stop the good that you're doing. influence others to
do the same. take care !:-)
  • mr_right14 said on Sep 02, 2006....

This food is so tasty. A nice pair for a beer!

Sadly I stopped eating nor even try to smell it. When I smell sisig I wanna get out of it.

I just had a bad experience about it. It's my migraine. It once triggered it. I'm usually triggered by stress and some bright lights that focused on my eyes.

I vomit, and really passed out. I was in the clinic the whole day. I missed the taste of it but the smell really triggers my migraine now.

    hi Sig and fellow Pinoys!

In case you don't know yet, there's this booklet titled "12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do To Help Our Country" by Alexander Lacson. It's a small orange book and available in bookstores. Saw some at National BS. Anyway, would just like to share that always asking for a receipt is his #2 on the list while not littering is #6 :) It's a good read and I hope a lot of Pinoys will feel inspired by that, as I was ...

thanks so much for your insight!

btw, i wanna add: be considerate of other people,
even if they are lesser in status or age than you.

sus: as usual, hahahahahaha when we got home last

It's the smell of sisig that makes me vomit and triggers my migraine. Specially the sizzling sisig. Mostly when the ventilation is poor and the smoke of it is all over the room.

I used to eat that every happy hours...you know. Now my list of "pulutan" is lessened. Huhuhuhu I missed that food.

Anyway there's still the crispy pata! Yummy! Together with a beer...it's so great.

Wanna ask, how many blogs do you manage guys?

Me, I manage three blogs and plan to have 10. I prioritize here in SoulCast. At least 3 posts a day and some copies of it to other accounts. And 1 posts or more on the other blogs.

It gave me some skills of web designing and HTML. Constructing a blog and modify the page is exhausting. I want my site to be extra different from the others. Not the layouts that can be acquired on some Code websites, but a more personalized layouts.

Hosts for my images, music, files, scripts, etc....waaah I have a total of 5 hosts. I lack some storage space for my music downloads, do you have any idea where I can have a free hosting service and offers at least 1GB storage. No bandwidth limit and fast transfer?

Remittances also from HK, Singapore, USA, Saudi, Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei, London, France, Germany,Macau, Kuwait.... :-) .
  • mr_right14 said on Sep 23, 2006....
    Oh sorry Sus.
My statement looked that remittances comes only from Lebanon.
    What I actually wanna say:
Because of the remittances of Filipino workers from Lebanon.
They were all brought back here because of the war between Israel and Lebanon (Hesbolah). Unlike the seasonal comeback of those workers.

Also our economy is getting better.
The question is, for how long it'll be like this?

    Mr_RiGhT
  • sigroid75 said on Sep 23, 2006....
yeah, our stocks and bonds are getting higher
everyday. peso is performing better...all this
even with the threat of destabilization, cha-cha,
    coup attempts, bombing, etc.

here in our city, we now have 3 or 4 call centers.
times havent been this good since..im not sure...
but i wonder, what is the real score?

or madam GMA must be doing something good?
  • Susmaryosep said on Sep 23, 2006....
Hey friends, it's just the time of the year, when the name of the month ends in ..'ber', and Pasko is approaching. Without fail, the peso will strengthen in the last quarter, as OFW remttances from the World over start to trickle in for gifts and tricycles to loved ones.... then in February, the peso will commence its downward spiral again, unless you strike oil in the Malampaya region..... ? ;-)
  • mr_right14 said on Sep 23, 2006....
    Wow Sus!
You know about Malampaya Power Plant.
I dunno I haven't heard of its operation yet.
I think it can supply at most 40% of fuel consumptions every year.

  • mr_right14 said on Sep 24, 2006....
Oh I thought you know it.
    Its a pocket PC.
A cellphone with the features of a laptop.
    Search it on the net.
    You'll love this gadget! Promise!

one, free from his smart plan.:-)

hindi naman ako techie...all i want for christmas
    is a fruitcake...:-)
  • mr_right14 said on Sep 24, 2006....
    huh?
I've already check both Smart and Globe but they dont have any promos for that model.
It'll be a good choice if ever.

I'm looking for a cheaper price.
The lowest I've seen is Php45K brand new from a retailer and distributor here.
And $750 from the net including the shipping.
I never prefer to buy on the net, I've already had a bad experience.

  • sigroid75 said on Sep 24, 2006....
i've never bought anything from the net and i don't
think i ever will. im scared of the system getting hacked
and purchases be charged to me. i wouldn't be able
to pay them, esp in dollars...hay naku...

mahal naman..parang bumili ka na rin ng bagong laptop
no? kanya lang, if you really need it...ako, satisfied
    na sa desktop ko.:-)
  • Susmaryosep said on Sep 25, 2006....
I don't like those pocket PCs. Main problem, is when I type something, my thumb will press ALL the letter keys at the same time.. eg.. abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz... :-))))
I have a laptop, given to me by my daughter, because it tends t o over heat! We have wireless routing in the house, so my single telephone line can support our two laptops and a Desktop.. Not bad, for a matandang lalaki di ba?
  • mr_right14 said on Sep 25, 2006....
That's the cons of a pocket PC.
For big guys, we'll have to press the keys using our pinkie.
    Hehehe

I'd setup a wi-fi on my Desktop PC such that I can communicate my laptop to it wherever I go.
It's exhausting to go back and forth.
Calibrate the machines and then you need something on your desktop PC and then you go back again.
I'm managing two departments, and I look crazy roaming around, making sure the process are well implemented and monitoring the machines.

So if I have this pocket PC, it'll be more handy.
I'll never keep dragging my laptop wherever I go.
Imagine you're bringing approximately 1.5 kilos of brick when you roam around the departments.

    Me?
I'm an engineer of a semicon company.
Focusing on the process and quality.
A desperate engineer that wants the best of me.
Hoping that I can finish my masters and perhaps take the doctorate.
Wanna be known as one of the persons that contributed in the field of electronics.

Do you know Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce?
Jack Kilby was the pioneer of monolithic IC's.
He died last year at age of 81, with the sickness like from the Love Story In Harvard, "Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma".

Robert Noyce was the pioneer for hybrid IC's.
He co-founded both Fairchild Semiconductor and Intel.

    Me,
I always read reviews of latest gadgets and most of all, gadgets that soon to be released.
    I like techy stuff!!!

    Sig,
I am IT trained, though not as smart as Mr_right. I am more in project management and Operations, hence the Online Lotto, and the Online Toll monitoring systems..:-). when I started my programming in 1970, we had to use the Hollerith cards, made famous by IBM.. it was a crazy time, but it was stimulating..... Now, I am retired, and posting in blogs, hoping for some pocket money... ;-)
  • mr_right14 said on Sep 25, 2006....
    I remember those Hollerith cards.
We've studied and discussed it in class.
Oh my, I miss my college years...
I've had a hard time on those years.
But its nice to reminisce hehehe...

    Green?
    Hmmmm

    Green is a deadly sin.
    Why?
Green when pronounced is almost the same with Grin.
Grin is somewhat associated with lust.
Lust is one of the 7 deadly sins.
    Therefore:
    Green ==> Grin
    Grin ==> Lust
    Green -----> Lust

Or he doesnt believe in God.
    Why?
Green + Discharge what would that be?
    Discharge ==> Blood?
Green + Blood ==> ALIEN form
    ALIEN doesn't know our GOD.

    Nah useless correlations hehehe.
    Peace!

    Sig,
Glad you are ok with the BF now.Just tell him to wear pajamas to sleep, he will not get so uptight, hahahahah
BTW, I am having serious problems with the 'passed down' notebook, and will not be blogging so vigorously. The notebook switches off every 10 minutes on my lap, probably because my groins are too hot for it to handle? hahahah
I am looking for a new unit, most probably a HP, or a DELL. So until then, you will only find me jumping in and out ot the site, as much as the notebook allows me to... Grabe!

    HI SIG!!!

Just followed your trail here, girrrlll! SALAMAT PO SA KUMENTO!!!

This is so positively eerie...I was just wondering if I could tell where somebody originally comes from, through their syntax? And as you, dear Sig commented on my very first blog in SC, I knew somehow we were connected in one way.

And it´s like knowing, when you´re a Filipino abroad , that the person you meet across the street is from Indonesia/Malaysia/even the Pacific and not a Pinoy!

Omigosh, my first blog in SoulCast and I reveal myself instantly...***but PROUDLY, of course ; )*** :I´M A FILIPINA!!!

Where is the thrill of discovery?!? Where is the excitement of uncovering a mystery?!?

    Well....let me try...I´m indeed a proud Pinay. But I have been living in Europe (a mystery...which country =) ???) for 13 years.

2 years ago, I had the pleasure of helping the Philippine Consulate in the country of my residence, to organize the 50th anniversary of it´s di
