  CW: They were trying to translate the sign into English, except they didn't actually know enough English to translate it.  So they ended up saying something random and nonsensical, which is what makes it funny :)

  Actually it's not a mistranslation, it just sounds weird. The Octopus is a prepaid subway smartcard from Hong Kong. You can also use it to pay parking meters, vending machines, buy groceries and MikkyD's. Personalized ones act as key cards and school ids.
