So these are the houses I went walking to because I wanted to photograph them for Wombie and you.

Even the walls are like this too.

The roof seems to be under reparation

One of these houses is a kindergarten now.

An other castle house and with a name, like the old houses and farms had here. The farms still do.

An old villa with a grass roof.

I suddenly saw this friendly cat so I came nearer to take pictures and the cat wanted to be stroked.

The friendly cat let me to one of the castle roof buildings. I only saw it when I looked up after having stroked the cat.

Pretty little house.

Dad´s brother in law has a shop in this house when I was a little girl. The family lived in a little house with a nice garden in the street.

A young woman stood by the bike, laughing and pointing but I did not understand it until I came nearer.

The old main commercial street where the traffic is very slow and you allow your self sometimes to walk on the street.

Old and new. I remember this place different.

I am almost there, where I keep my car.

Some boys went by and tooted their horn. I am jumped but they laugh and I laugh and I wave my camera.

I am here, but scrolling up and down to keep looking at the pictures instead of commenting!  Thank you for the "dedication" to me, who yes---really loves these houses with the castle-like roofs!  I would love to be up on one of those roofs and living out my fantasy of "living in a castle."  I can see myself sitting on the steps of picture #3, enjoying the view and the fresh air.  That's cool about the cat "showing you" the house you almost didn't see!  I really like the villa with the grass roof, too!  And the guitar-playing guy painted on the wall.  Oh--and the building with the green doors and fancy windows!  I can see how you took 300 pictures yesterday.  I would be out doing the same thing every day if I could!

And hey, I had a thought this morning actually.....Have you considered trying to compile and sell a coffee table book of your city/country of photos and captions like you do here?  I have one of New England---but I would love to have one of Iceland----by the photographer who took these and all the others you have shared!

Thanks again---it gave me something to dream on today.....

Wombat.  Yes, would it not be nice on the steps there . We could sit there together on an nice summer evening and enjoy a drink of something as we enjoy the atmosphere. lol Oh about the book. I would have to do a lot of work then. Would I not. I really don't know how to earn anything. It's the way I am. Sure would like to write a book someday though. But then I also would have to start working on it.
Queen. Thanks. I don't know exactly how they do it. Sorry.

Those are really interesting houses.  They were private homes?  That seems like a very unusual style to build your home in.  I think I like the smaller more colorful homes with the steep roofs.

Those castle-roofed houses are so neat! I love the grass-roofed villa, too. :) And how cute that you made a furry friend while you were taking pictures.

Yes, that would be very nice......and about the book, I'm not one to talk as it's my dream to write a book one day, also.  But you seem to have the perfect place to start----so much history there and you are so knowlegable about it.  Along with your photos, it would be so nice!  Or maybe just start a fiction novel based on the way of life there with some of your interesting history thrown in?

Sorry--I don't mean to be pushy.  I just see so much potential there for a great book! (and I don't recall, even with as many books I have read, one single book that was based on Icelandic history.)   Thanks again and have a great day and evening.

Uniquely.  I know that one of them was a private home, the one with the name. About the other houses I don't know anything, Except that one is now a kindergarten and the one that the cat sat by is a private home, it seems. I don't know if there are more than one family there. There are also very small ones in that style. Houses that were built by poorer people. I will post a picture later. This seems to have been popular sometimes in the early 20th century and I don't know why.

The homes with the steep roofs are more usual of course.
Infernal.  Yes, I find them interesting and furry friends, I often make them lol.  I have got a fight when big dogs come running to me. But all they want is being patted too. I could tell stories about owners feeling akqward. lol Thanks.
