Today is the day.  Probably the most important day in four years.  This is where eveyone gets to put their two cents in.  While I am fairly sure that Barack Obama is going to win, regardless now is the time.

Whoever wins it is time to get to work.  We need to seriously end the partisan bullshit that infected our government.

Republicans:  George Bush is one of the best Presidents we've ever had, be proud of that and stop hiding in shadows due to the terrible unfair media.

Democrats:  If you can't stomach war then don't push, shove, and vote to go to war and good God take care of your own!  Republican versions of Michael Moore don't last long and your side should be the same way.

Overall this election year has changed the fabric of the media because it exposed how blatently biased it is.  Maybe it will change, maybe it won't, but all sides should be fighting to make the media better.

    1.  Wait. . .you think Obama is gonna win?  I thought the media lies, and pollers lie, and polsters carefully rig polls to lie?  Isn't McCain gonna win in a historic landslide????  :-P

    2.  Bush is one of our Best Presidents?  WHAT?!?!

    3.  I basically agree that Dems shouldn't vote for war if they can't stomach it.  However the Reps pushed this as being Gulf War 2, and Gulf War 1 was like a fucking movie.  We showed up, kicked ass, made the world a better place and went home all in two weeks.  I dare say if it had been sold as what it's shaping up to be, a decade long occupation some votes would have been changed.  Maybe not enough, but still.

    4.  Rush Limbaugh has been out longer than Micheal Moore and is just as biggoted. I personally can't stand either of them and generally find Rush to be slightly more palatable if for no other reason than since he's one 5 days a week he gets to spread his crazy out where as MM has to jam it all down your throat in one massive serving.

#1-The reasonable pollsters Investors Business Daily, Zogby, have Obama up a few points.  At one time I just assumed McCain would win because he's a war hero that was tortured and because Obama has no reasonable resume and ties to nutcases.

#2-Everywhere you look people are tearing President Bush to shreds because they are completely mis-informed.  They never take into account what he has done.  He somehow managed to get one large group of good Muslims to unite against another group of bad Muslims and in the process liberated 50 million people.  When you look at all the horrorible things he had to deal with in his tenure, starting with a recession, 9/11, Katrina, Enron, wildfires, terrorism, we have faired very well as far as employment, GDP growth, healthcare, terrorist attacks.  Granted there are things we can bash him about but good God things could have been a lot worse.

#3-Historically, strategically, in context to the war on terrorism, Saddam, WMD's, Iraq is very important, enough even for a long occupation.

#4-Maybe I'm too conservative to see it but I don't see Rush as being crazy and he certainly isn't bigoted (his call screener is a black guy), he can be outlandish, but he is entertaining.  The following he has certainly aren't all conservatives.  Comparing Rush to Moore is like comparing Will Smith to Pee Wee Herman.

I think Obama might pull it off because the Republicans just haven't got the message out.  They've let the media dictate what people believe.
