After blogging for a few weeks in SoulCast, and getting to know people from my own country and all over the world, I have been wondering.. Is it possible to be reading blogs and chatting with your neighbour, colleague, etc;, and NOT know a thing about it? On the other hand, it is also possible to realize after reading some blogs, and commenting on them, that you may have recognized many things and events, and re-established contact with long lost friends and even lovers? It would make interesting reading, if such a serendipitous connection has been made, sometime soon or in the near future!

Sometimes when I'm in a chat room I'll think about whether it could be a neighbor or someone I work with. I might even peek out my window to see if the neighbor's lights are on!

I was once pretty active on the online dating thingy and the first girl I talked to through the onlinde dating service was my recently ex-girlfriend. We talked for about 15 messages until we figured out that we knew each other...
I once met a very hot girl online.. we talked for about a week until we figured that we knew each other and had been working along each other for months...
so yes it is possible that you are talking to you neighbour

Well, I haven't actually ran into anyone that way. I DO have one friend that comes to SoulCast--but I showed her how to sign up.
I am paranoid enough to expect everyday for my boss to pop on and fire me in the prescence of my fellow SoulCasters.
They shouldn't. I haven't used their computer in many weeks & I have long since cleared the Internet & Google history. But that is how my neurotic mind functions.
I am glad I found you guys, though!

Jade: You shouldn't be. Although you should, if you haven't already, regularly clear it. They shouldn't be too mad though since they don't have enough evidence to fire you on such grounds.
SoulCast has also been my therapy. It is the only place where I get to express my words in the language I am most comfortable with. I don't know why this is so, but it may have had something to do with my childhood. So I am glad that no matter how neurotic minds get in here we are still able to carry on intelligible conversations. :)

JadeLondon, you're not the only paranoid one! Even knowing this is anonymous, I still haven't found the guts to really really REALLY type stuff I'd never want anybody to read about me. I'm still working on getting thoughts out that I know might rile people up or offend... or write things I could never admit otherwise... I thought I could do these things here because of the anonymity, but a major part of me still fears being "found out" by people I know!

someone should start a blogg page on the subject of paranoia and who's afraid of being found out on putting their deepest fears and secrets on SoulCast.
Personaly I think it's individual personality. I don't think a naturally secretive person will open up just like that. But then I'm no expert.
I don't know if I'm ready to pour my soul on my personal problems just yet...even though I'm not that secretive...

Blog is supposed to be an online diary, and diary is supposed to be confidential. The idea of sharing my feeling with someone that I do not know, and we wont even recognize each other even we bump into each other on the street is good. However, if it is someone that I know reading my blog, and that person know that it is me, then it is a bit awkward. This is just my opinion.......what do you guys think?
