Sundays have to be the worest day of the week for a server!

If you're a server or ever have been, you may agree that Sundays are dreaded!! Why might you ask?? Well for starters we like everyone else would love to know what a lazy sunday feels like...you know get up have a cup of coffee, eat a good breakfast, read the Sunday paper, etc. That kind of Sunday does not exist if your a server.

Instead I get up down a cup of coffee and maybe a piece of toast at the same and get to the "Dirty Bird" to find people waiting like vultures for the doors to open! Needless to say it's the busiest day of the week for servers.

The next annoying part of Sundays is that the cliental are huge families that just came from church. One would think that people who just came from church would be patient, understanding and generous, but instead are hungry, grumpy and worest of all cheap!!

Here's what a Sunday at the "Dirty Bird" looks like: Our resturant opens at 11:00, but hords of people decide to wait out front in their Sunday finest by 10:30! (A tip to those who aren't accustomed to the resturant: Just because a resturant opens at a certain time doesn't mean they are fully functioning; food is still being preped, the whole staff isn't on yet, and we're just not in mood to get hit with a rush when we first get clock on ourselves).

Immediately got sat with a table of 11 well dressed teens. They ran me ragged; needing endless refills and baskets of fries!! When it was all said and dones I was left with $4.00 and a booklet about their church on an $85.00 tap!!! I still havn't calmed down from that one!!

Next I got another big party with the most irritating man I've come in contact in a while. First he let all of his kids order for themselves and the one little girl didn't tell me she didn't want mayo on her burger, so when the burger came to the table the little whinned about the mayo! I took it back to the kitchen to get remade. Apartly he couldn't wait for me to bring it to the table. He followed me back to the kitchen and waited for me to come out with the burger!!! STAY IN YOU SEAT!!! Then he ordered a long island iced tea, he didn't like it so instead of waiting for me to get back to the table he went searching for me and handed me his drink and demanded it be remade!! Dude you're not my only table!! I asked the manger to remake it, but we have a recipe that can't be changed so it tasted the same and he just brushed me off and "it'll do." I knew he was going to be a crappy tipper, but he was really bad!! He left me $6.00 on $100!!! I would have paid him to never sit in section again!!

Anyways I'm home now drinking my sorrows away! It would make me feel a whole lot better if any of you have horrible job stories to share with me!!
