Friends,
I've been trying to find the time and way to say this in a post for weeks. Lack of words, lack of time .....both have played a part in my delay in telling you this.
So, I have come to the point of just spilling it...............
On November 29th, my name will change.
Sweety and I are getting married in our church in front of God, our families and friends.

Lucy, Yes a wedding! Isn't it exciting? I will see what I can do about details for you soon, though this has been a long time coming. The wedding date decision was quick but it has been a long'ish engagement.

Lucy, it will be Saturday, Nov. 29th. We chose that weekend because it is Thanksgiving here and we'll typically have time off from work to go somewhere if we want to. -

Skald, I am excited and yes, you know how important my faith is to me. It is just as important to Sweety. It is where our relationship was found and I hope and pray it will stay that way. Keep an eye on your mail. ;-)
Lucy, I have a picture of the dress....sort of. I will do my best to post some details as promised. I'm a girly-girl too! Twirly princess dresses - sigh. Don't you just love that? It is what little girls dream of huh? Your spelling is fine. I'm simply tickled you are excited for me! It adds to my excitement.

Queenie, Yes, that is one of the reasons I have been so scarce. Life for me is already pretty hectic with jobs and kids but adding a wedding to it has really made it crazy. Thanks for being so happy for me.

Now, picture this...me standing outside of the church greeting your friends and family in a funny-ill-fitting-probably-never-going-to-wear-this-again-dress singing "One Hand One Heart" and doing my famous Wedding Jig, while polarheart tries to cover her ears and eyes at the same time (probably in a matching dress ; ) and your husband-to-be calls the funny farm to tell them that I've escaped...again ; )
Oh yeah...and all the other gentle folk and nut cases from Soul Cast throw my entire life savings of rose petals and Tootsie Rolls at the passersby. Is that even a real word?
Well, the point is, I can see why you felt safe enough to post this announcement on an anonymous blog...we don't really know where you live! So this scenario can never actually happen! Well, at least it's not very likely ; )
Love you kiddo. I am so happy and so proud of you. He'd better know that he is getting a true diamond. No rough spots. Just a perfect sparkling diamond. All things considered, you know : )

Truth, I almost called you by another name and then deleted it.
I could think of no better wedding present from you and Polar than being at my wedding. I would LOVE for you to be there and sing........dance if you want! I doubt hubby-to-be would call the funny farm since he has given up on me and sanity loooooong ago. (I typed more here but decided it was a little too involved for an anonymous site so remind me and I'll tell you in email)
As for knowing where I live......speaking of which, you should be getting a map to the church any day now. Hope you can make it!
