  I still believe in it. And like other people said, it's all around us. You just have to stop and pay attention to it. And I always make sure I do that. It makes life worth it, when sometimes it seems like there's just nothing left.

  There is still magic in the world, but I really believe that science and religion have driven a lot of it away.  Yes there is still all of the magic that everyone mentioned, but don't you think that there had to be more at one time to inspire all of the stories we call fables and fairytales? Sure they have become exaggerated and twisted over time, but I think there was a real source somewhere, sometime.

  People allow life to get in the way of magic. The mundane drudgery of daily chores, work just getting by bring you down. If you just try and smile, it gives smiles to those around you...Magic. Watch a sunset, see the beauty in the frost on the blades of grass in the morning...Magic. I think CrazyLarry is right about science and formal religion taking away the magic in our world. Look to the light within, God is within you and everyone around you. If we would all look inward, be still, silent and listen we would hear the magic again. Never lose sight of the wonder in the world. If the daily grind is really getting you down, go to a nursing home and talk to a stranger, a really old stranger about what their daily grind was like 70 years ago. You'll see a twinkle in their eye I guarantee it. If that isn't magic I don't know what is.

  I honestly don't think religion takes away anything from the magic around us.  On the contrary....in my point of view it enhances it !
