  I think it's possible that sometimes a unique individual shows up at a specific time in history who has a certain purpose. I don't know if it's reincarnation (maybe) but those transformational figures seem to show up just when they're needed. It's interesting Obama is running for president at this point in time.

  As far as reincarnation goes I think it's just another way for people to comfort themselves with thoughts of an afterlife, like heaven. But, as an atheist, I don't believe in anything like that.

  what the Civil War was about, as far as Lincoln was concerned. Lincoln
  wanted to keep the union together. The slavery issue just got thrown

  Most historians agree that Lincoln didn't really give a fuck about blacks.  It was one of the major factors that lead to the War however and the black community was understandably greatful for the next hundred years or so until the Republicans said "Well we freed you, but we don't want yout o be able to marry or get a decent job"  And Democrats said.  Hey!  They're people to.
   
  It's kinda funny, you should really read the inscription from the Statue of Liberty, then you'll understand why Democrats are rising and Republicans are falling.  When Republicans take that creed honestly, when RINO is no longer part of their lexicon they'll be another step closer to being dominant again.

  what I saw from the Democrats I knew, which is part of the reason I
  got out of the Democrat party. I figure most of the people that show
  up at a Democrat rally are the same people that attended the KKK meeting
  a few nights ago. The last white people I was around that used the "N"
  word with any frequency were staunch Democrats. That is part of the
  mystery to Republicans. Democrats crap all over blacks, keep them on
  welfare and in poverty, and still they vote exclusively Democrat. I suppose
  it is like battered wife syndrome--you love the one that treats you like
  crap. Look at Colin Powell. After all Bush did for him, he runs and votes
  for Obama. It is mystifying.

  It's true, if Lincoln were alive today he'd most likely be a Democrat. The suggestion is more toward the personalities of the two men - according to some, very similar. And the Hindus around the world, all however-many-hundreds of millions of them including the 800 million in India alone - would like to thank you for so glibbly brushing aside their religious beliefs and suggesting brain surgery. That's intelligent.
