If you obey the letter of the word in your own power and ability then according to the bible you are under the law, but if all that you do is empowered by the holy Spirit then it is no longer you that is obeying God but the Holy Spirit who dwells in you that does the work. Your life is hid with Christ and it is no longer you that lives but Christ in you the hope of glory. Life in the Spirit is performing good deeds,mighty exploits,obedient acts by the empowerment of the Spirit of the living God and not of your own self efforts. God crowns only his own works. All works done by the sinful nature are burned in the fire!
So as you can see, requirements for obedience are even provided by our loving Savior! Praise God for his wonderful grace!

Galatians 2:19-21
