  Nooooo...our parade here is for our Philadelphia Phillies.....I will not let anyone steal our parade.  The streets here are filed with thousands of people.  This is too much fun!   I love our city...we so needed this.  Yeah phillies!!!!!!

  It's gonna be exciting in the airport tomorrow when the Philly fans get back. Lots of people from PA live down here in NC and there were groups of them on all the Philly flights the other day.

  jenna- I read your other posts on the Phillies and I was rooting for them just for you. Isn't it great teams win after a long dry spell? It always makes me feel good when that happens whether the team means anything to me or not.

  Thanks princess......Ryan had a tough series but his team was there when he fell short.  But we love our Ryan Howard.  Did you see him at the end of the game?  He looked like a little kid on Christmas.  So heart warming.

  Well thank you  beyond.  You are right....it always makes one feel good when you know a team won that deserves it.  I think the fans of Philly really deserved it.  They have been through so much heartache...lol
   
  Skald....the song is a classic!  And yes Freddie really knew how to belt out a tune. 
   
  Thank you all for sharing this with me and listening to me these past couple of weeks.  I know there are big problems out there in life and a little ole baseball game is very insignificant in the big picture.  It has been a nice diversion though, I must say.  It has made my heart happy.
  I have talked a lot about my son being a huge fan.....ever since I can remember. He is now a 21 year old young man.  I have watched over the years the disapppointment he has experienced. 
  When we won the division....I remember sitting out on my deck drinking coffee.....trying to figure out how I could get him a ticket to a World Series game.  I am not in the financial position to do so.....so it was kind of just a daydream.  But somehow my son managed to get two tix for he and his girlfriend.  And it happened to be for game five.  Well when I heard that.....I kind of said a little prayer....well maybe a dozen or so.  I talked to God and said I know this is ridiculous to ask.....but could you possibly, maybe make this happen.  I thought...how cool would that be for this little boy in a young mans body to witness this.  Well...it happened.
  I spent a long time talking to my son today.....he was sharing the whole experience.  Sports is a way we connect.  He analyzed the season ....and shared the little nuances of the season and told me about the many people on the other side probably yelling in God's ear to make this happen.   He said...I know Your dad...my grandpop, was one of them. 
  And he also told me that he shed a tear or two when it all finally hit him......they won!
  Kind of warmed my heart.
  Tomorrow...he is getting the parade he has always dreamed of......Don't cha just love it when your kids are happy?  
  Anyway....I have rambled on long enough about the Phillies......once again...I say thank you for sharing and supporting.  You guys are great!
  I need to get some sleep now.....and according to CM...apparently I need to shave.....lol.

      Jenna, I saw that  ( shave a )  It was a typo it happened while changing my sentence in the comment. I wanted to fix it but it was to late . . it had nothing to do with shaving , I know your as smooth as a baby's ass  :0)
