GMNIMan’s latest recent post about the crashing of Senserely server site
Senserely.com Is Down, Can It Happen to Soulcast? sure is an eye opener for everyone in blogosphere.
For those unfamiliar with Senserely.com, it is very much like Soulcast. It is another Adsense supported site that encourages every blogger to post original materials in their site with the potential of earning revenues for every clicked ad.
There are slight policy differences between Senserely and Soulcast. Your dedicated Senserely page is littered with more Google Adsense Ads. Thus the potential for more revenues from ad related clicks is better enhanced than Soulcast.
Here at Soulcast, we have had our own fair share of blog thefts when the blogs of The Naked Professor and Jade London were blatantly copied and pasted into the plagiarizer’s site who brazenly pretended it was their own work. Thanks to the quick response of the SC Admin, the plagiarizer’s site was immediately removed
But Senserely strictly doesn’t tolerate the theft of other people’s blogs. Theft of blogs is also known as plagiarizing. It is Senserely strict policy to ban bloggers who are found to steal other people’s blogs and post them as their own. A plagiarizer once identified with his Google Adsense account is forever banned from their site.
As a matter of fact, this is probably the reason why the Senserely web site was down on technical server trouble. It was rendered inoperable by a hacker with an ax to grind against Senserely. Possible reasons could be was that the hacker was booted out from their site.
This was the notice on the front page of Senserely.com:
This site is offline for maintenance. In fact a son of a bitch hacked the site yesterday and deleted the table with all content! This fucker should have both his arms and legs broken in pieces and his teeth pulled out, bastard. I've contacted my web hosting company about this, and hopefully I'll get back content, if not, then it will start again, if members don't want to submit content again, I'll understand. Fuck the fucking fucker!
Now that makes the immediate concern of fellow Soulcaster GMNIMan valid and quite urgent. His advice for Soulcast is: Soulcast get a mirror site up and running pronto!.
This is my failsafe advice: Always back up all your precious blogs into your computer’s hard drive.. This is an important safekeeping feature which you will find very useful and indispensable in case you need to upload them back to Soulcast or any other blogging site in cases of an unprecedented crash.
But the right way to do it is Silverwhisper’s way: He initially composes his blogs using his computer’s word processor and after the final finished product is done, imports it into the Soulcast posting site. This is the most practical since you not only have the original copy safe into your computer, you can always go back to them even if you’re not logged online.
If for some unavoidable reason, you’ve already composed and posted your masterpiece blogs into the Soulcast site, there’s still a way for you to copy them into your hard drive. Using the copy and paste feature, you can create an import copy from the Soulcast site directly into your computer.
But please before you think of abusing this powerful copy and paste feature, may I caution you to copy only your own original blogs and not the copyrighted works of other authors.
Please be considerate enough to respect intellectual properties as any posted blogs are the sole ownership and copyrighted works of their respective authors. What about you, have you backed up your work recently?
