In one of my posts, I wrote about one of my favorite officemates, and I tell you she is quite a character. Having an emotional quotient of a 10-year old, while being well endowed and equipped with an IQ of borderline genius, for my posts, I’m naming her Carrot Cake for she has an EQ of a carrot, and I can’t help but get a laughing trip at her, again…and what’s funnier is that she doesn’t even try to be funny, she just is.

I guess funny is the new sexy. J

Falling for it

The other day, while we were talking and frolicking, I decided to pull a prank (yeah, I’m immature that way), it is more of an impromptu rather than a planned one. When she was about to sit down, I pulled her chair rather slowly, and she was sitting in a rather comical way also because she was yapping and yapping. What was funny is that she was slowly sitting down and was really close to the floor and yet she hadn’t realize that her chair was nowhere to be found, and to think that my other officemates noticed what I was doing, and they thought, she would never fall for it literally, well, aside from the fact that I am not the resident expert on pranks, being the goody-two-shoes and all. But I was surprised that she fell for it and to the floor. I immediately said sorry and apologized profusely, and I thought she’ll probably not talk to me the entire day, but no, she was just making a face, sticking out her tongue and poof, we were all laughing. What a character.

Oh no, you just didn’t

Yesterday, when the admin, let’s call her Kikay, was talking about her plans in the future and motherhood, Kikay is currently single by the way, my Carrot Cake officemate remarked, Kikay, you are old. Poof, classic! Never ever tell a woman that she is old, and much to her face and to a group of people. All of us stopped in our tracks, some stood up from their cubicles, and said, “oh no, you didn’t just say that”. Of course, the HR is a sport and knows that Carrot Cake did not mean it. Carrot Cake then tried explaining, but we were all in the joke and tried to guilt her too much, and even the HR was riding on it, saying “You hurt my feelings, you will not receive your salary for this cutoff”, then dramatically walks out, (with a big smirk on her and our faces). Carrot Cake felt really guilty and to no avail tried explaining to us, but of course we know that she had something else in her mind, and what she meant was really that if the HR would put her eggs to a cryogenic facility and she’ll have a baby 5 years from now, she’ll be a bit old to enjoy her baby, and she means that the HR should start now. Funny, it’s another classic case of mouth faster than brain.

Please don’t cry, it’s embarrassing

A couple of nights ago, Carrot Cake, DotA boy, and I, went to a food trip at Wendy’s and ordered ourselves Big Bacon Classic, and Carrot Cake decided to deviate and ordered Churros from Taco Bell. After trying out the chocolate dip, she was upset and made funny faces because it wasn’t sweet enough. We were torturing her by eating the overflowing burger in front of her, which I tell is classically funny. Anyway, to kill time, DotA boy and I started to talk about past relationships, at first it was just light, but then we went to another topic that was a bit depressing, and Carrot Cake started to get affected and sad. We told her that it is just normal for a person to experience heartaches, try telling that to Carrot Cake who is 24 years old! Anyway, so DotA boy continued telling his story and poof Carrot Cake cried! The heck! Even DotA boy got depressed because of her, and Carrot Cake’s tears were flowing in the middle of the food court, it is embarrassing, and people were staring at us, and I was even waiting for a guard to approach DotA boy and I. Now that’s what I call empathy! Dayum!

Oh well, that’s the office. Damn!
