I saw some last night as we were driving to dinner. They were taking their sweet time crossing a busy street holding up traffic. These geese look much more considerate!
Uni. Lol they just like to bite grass and the ducks do what the gees over you way do. walk over the street with the wee ones. Cayenne. Having a great day yes, but shame shame, cooking the poor things, :-)
Oh, geese can be very mean when they want to! My domestic geese I had used to chase the kids and hiss at them. LOL (not saying that the kids didn't tease them too)
Geese can be very territorial. In my grandfather's small ranch/farm when I was young I remember they used to hiss and actually chase you if you got too close.
In the UK we have a TV programme on every Spring and Autumn called 'Spring Watch' and 'Autumn Watch', live between 7pm and 8pm. Each year they follow a massive flock of tagged Grey Geese as they make their phenonemal journey across the globe - from Iceland and on to Canada stopping in the UK. I have never seen them in real though but what a journey - what a touch, amazing bird! They fly so much further than the Canadian and other geese.
Quiet. I remember when Systa and I went to the cities pond to give the duck bread. We were 8. There were not so many geese around then but two came and chased us, wanted the bread and we were so frighted. We ran away. Rolling. Bet they did. See above but this time a woman with a pink camera chased them. No, not really I did not come too close. Pusscat. That is really interesting that they can fly so far. I did not know it. :-) Mimi. Yes, they do it here too, fly in formation. It is nice to see. Honk I bet they do but they can be quiet too. Those were quite quiet.
