President Barrack Obama is as close to inevitable as these things ever get until January 20. . .sorry I meant November 4th.  Sad thing is that with as unhinged as some people are becoming it's an actual that there is time between the vote and the coronation.

Now listen to me very carefully.  Obama isn't going to destoy the country.  He's not a radical (least not yet) if nothing else his voting record and life in general don't show him as a guy who takes a lot of risks or just runs off without a plan.  If he's right on everything great, if he's not well we have Congress to protect us.

That is built entirely on you making sure that Democrats don't control Congress (I did my part and voted Republican)  The idea that they control Congress NOW is a myth the media made up (just like they made up your control prior to 06.  You had and we have a majority.  But when a world often requires a 2/3s vote not a majority 51% does not control make.  However you all fucked up so goddamn royally the last eight years that it's not impossible that we'll be looking at a 60/40 Senate and similar percentage in the House.

What we have here is a unique opportunity for Nancy Pelosi to walk over to your Senators and tell them to go home for the next two years because even if you all disagree we'll just out vote you by ourselves.  Pelosi. . .she might be crazy. . .and Obama might not argue with her, course it's not like Bush's veto pen ever did a goddamn thing cept set us back in Stem Cell research.  But one place I'm not trustinb Obama is to start vetoing shit. . .oh wait if we let the Dems get full control like they potentially could they could almost tell Obama to sit in the corner for the next two years until the numbers even out.

So once more.  Stopping Obama from becoming president is like stopping Godzilla from destroying Tokyo.  Maybe you'll get lucky and Mothra will show up.  You can save your worthless Senators though.

The Republicans aren't going to win anything if they can't atone for the 6 years in which they controlled the government and presided over disaster after disaster, and spending sprees after spending sprees. They royally fucked up when they had complete control and they aren't man enough to admit it.

You all seem to forget that no one goes to Washington D.C. unless someone
votes for them and sends them there. We are sending the Democrats and
Republicans to D.C. They are not just magically appearing there. What do
you think I have been talking about for months now? We had a primary and
the best we could come up with was McCain and Obama. And then they
gave us Palin and Biden. I mean almost as many did not want Obama as
wanted him (he barely beat Hillary). McCain pretty solidly won the Republican
nomination. He is the better liked person here because he is nearest the
center. He best represents the thinking of the majority of the people of
this nation. As I have also been saying, all blacks voting for Obama means
nothing--they always vote for the Democrat. The real difference is that
independents, Reagan Democrats, many of the Hillary supporters who
were cheated by Obama's supporters, and Democrats who just will not
vote for a black man (they are no more racist than blacks doing the
opposite) are going to vote for McCain. I am telling you, many people are
not endorsing McCain, but they will vote for him. They just do not want
all the bile that the politically correct "you are a racist" media will bring
down on them if they say a word. I mean look at Palin. A very popular
governor was buried under liberal crapola in no time. Who would want
that? I am also telling you, people like Colin Powell and Oprah voting for
Obama is not going to make the difference. McCain will get all the states
Bush got and then some. The media always paints their "sky is falling"
scenario the last days before the election, but smart voters are watching
and will reject Obama and his miriad of negatives. The polls were wrong
even on election day in 2004. They finally gave up on exit polls because
people were voting for Bush but not saying so. I mean, good god, after
all we have heard about Obama and the worst someone can say about
McCain is he voted similar to most everyone in congress? ha ha ha
If we all keep our heads, ignore the baloney filled accounts of the last
eight years, and go vote for the best man for the job (McCain), we will
not be having this conversation in six months. We will not be trying to
figure out why we keep electing bad politicians. What we really need to
figure out is why the two main parties keep nominating bad choices for
us to pick from, which is why we are always voting for the lesser of two
    evils.

Is this what you are saying...

There is time between the election and the inauguration to make sure that the Democrats don't take full control of Congress. Currently the Senate Republican filibuster prevents this. It takes a 2/3rds cloture vote to override a filibuster. So since Republicans currently can and do block all Democrat initiatives there is no full control.

I'm not trusting Obama is to start vetoing. If we let the Democrats get full control they could tell Obama to sit in the corner for the next two years until the numbers even out.
  • SeanRenaud said on Oct 24, 2008....
Yes GDawg that's is exacty what I'm saying.  We are in a situation where Democrats could potentially get sixty seats and be filibuster proof.  With 60% of the Senate and potentially (though less likely) 60% of the House Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would be running the country by defacto.

    Senate: 55/38  House: 245/166

So the Senate Republicans look to be able to block the majority rule.

Did you know... on the Rosenberg Trial

In his summation, the chief prosecutor, Irving Saypol, declared: "This description of the atom bomb, destined for delivery to the Soviet Union, was typed up by the defendant Ethel Rosenberg that afternoon at her apartment at 10 Monroe Street. Just so had she, on countless other occasions, sat at that typewriter and struck the keys, blow by blow, against her own country in the interests of the Soviets."

In December 2001, Sam Roberts, a New York Times reporter, traced David Greenglass, who was living under an assumed name with Ruth Greenglass. Interviewed on television under a heavy disguise, he acknowledged that his and his wife's court statements had been untrue. "Julius asked me to write up some stuff, which I did, and then he had it typed. I don't know who typed it, frankly. And to this day I can't even remember that the typing took place. But somebody typed it. Now I'm not sure who it was and I don't even think it was done while we were there."
  • SeanRenaud said on Oct 24, 2008....

That's too close for comfort.  Dems only need really to pick up 2 of the five toss up since the two independent Senators currently caucus with the Dems.  They could potentially pick up all five but I expect Alaska to go R. with it's two.  But still.  To damn close.

    Election 2008: Alaska Senate
Alaska Senate: Stevens 49%, Begich 48%
    Tuesday, October 07, 2008

The U.S. Senate race in Alaska remains a dead heat. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds incumbent Republican Ted Stevens barely leading Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich 49% to 48%.

Last month, Begich was on top 48% to 46%. Stevens, who is seeking a seventh term in the Senate, fell behind his challenger back in July after he was indicted for allegedly hiding more than $250,000 in illegal gifts from an oil company. Prior to this, the race had been a toss-up for several months.

As for the two independent Senators...

However, Lieberman has endorsed Republican presidential candidate John McCain and could decide to caucus with the Republicans in the Senate at any time.

Bite me GDog. Have you confessed that you are also Skittlecrow yet? The
styles are just too similar ... cut and paste shitloads of crap. All I say is
not easily found on your pro-Obama propaganda sites, where you get all
your cut and paste material. I distill down what I hear day to day over the
airwaves from people that have not inbibed in the Obama coolade. Be
honest. Should Obama really be ahead as the polls indicate? Really, be
honest. Do you really believe Obama is the better person for the job? Do
you really believe Obama loves this country and has served this country
as much as McCain? Do you honestly think Obama is as national security
and foreign policy savy as McCain? Remember, be honest. You credibility
depends on it. I keep saying the same things over and over because the
truth is the truth, and people are ignoring the truth. If Obama does pull
it off, I will have the pleasure, in only a few months, of pointing to many,
many posts and saying I told you so. Of course, that depends on how
long we have freedom of speech if (Zero)bama is elected. It always
amazes me how Democrats / liberals squawk about losing their freedoms,
their first amendment rights, blah blah blah, and then vote for a near
communist like Obama and all the Democrats in congress that want to
bring about the era of Big Brother (laws based on political correctness).
Amazing indeed. Maybe I can see through it all because I did graduate
from high school, and college, and have a masters degree. All the poor
dupes that are listening to Obama have surely lost their higher reasoning
powers, or are just blinded by their unreasonable hatred of Bush. Either
way the election turns out, I win. I either get a good president (McCain)
or I get to watch what Obama does to our country. I get to watch as
morons keep making excuses for him as he launches his on-the-job
training presidental career ... at our expense. Good job, Democrats. You
have given us yet again a real winner. (That is as close as I can get
to a pro-Obama statement.) And I really have no cause. We are
simply in a lesser of two evils situation yet again, and John McCain is
by far, b y f a r , the lesser of the two evils. I keep trying to hammer
that in because people have closed their eyes and their ears, and have
shut off their brains, as far as I can tell. It will be fun to watch those
eys and ears pop open again, if I have to, IF Obama manages to keep
the sham going for another few days.

    1.  No I don't think Obama has as much foreign diplomacy savvy as McCain.  The thing is that I think McCain like an old dog has been trained wrong for the last thirty years and many of his ideas are irredemable.  You know like Reverend Wright.  He's a product of his times and he's not ever going to change but that doesn't make his POV valid today.

Obama being actually liked around the world is going to mask some of his inexperience anyway.  You'll get to know (According to http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/20/biden-if-elected-the-world-will-test-obama-with-a-crisis/)  I quoth (and have no idea why none of your right wingers didn't notice that Biden put the ball back in your court) "Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. . . .Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

You don't get to talk about Democrats stripping rights.  They both strip rights and the Republicans are a bigger threat to more rights.  The Left is absolutely caustic to the 2nd, they aren't real good 10th.  The Republicans are a threat to the 1st.  It's not liberals and democrats who pass censorship laws.  It wasn't Democrats that passed the Patriot Act effectively nulling the fourth.  It wasn' the Democrats that opened Gitmo (and other secret bases) and by passed the 6th and 8th.  Amendments.  Granted if you really cared about the Constitution you'd vote Libertarian (that's Bobb Barr this year right?) but if you had to pick between the top two the only debate you could make for voting R is that without the second amendment the other nine don't matter.  Course then you'd have to start defending Bill Ayers. . .and let's be honest.  Cus your integrity depends on it.  You could never support a man who attacked his own country, even if his own country was sending him off to die against his will.

There are usually four or five limp wristed liberals and maybe one token

know conservative radio and TV are biased, but they are much more

The only ones I see throwing in racism is Obama and his followers. Blacks
are following him for no other reason than his race, even if he is mostly
caucasian. Tell me I am wrong and I will tell you that you are blind, deaf,
and stupid. I think he is dishonest to pretend to be an African American.
I have more American indian blood than he has black blood. I think blacks
are foolish for voting for him simply for how he looks and not for what he
stands for. I see that as a dangerous trend for this country. However,
I do not oppose Obama for his color, race, or religion (which I think is
rooted in Islam). I oppose him because of his philosophy and his lack of
morals. I oppose him because he is totally inexperienced. The most
impressive thing he has done is run for president, but even that is
because the liberal media has made him their darling. I suspect that,
true to their nature, they are building him up, forcing him on us as
president, so they can then tear him down. Watch and see. I have
seen it so many times before. The media did not want Reagan because
they knew he was above reproach (no Monicas for him). Why do you
think Democrats keep coming up with these morons every four years.
It is almost laughable to watch if it were not so serious. Serious

All I say is easily found on your pro-McCain propaganda sites.

I distill down what I hear day to day over the airwaves from people that have imbibed in the McCain Kool-Ade.

"Should Obama really be ahead as the polls indicate?"

Yes. They are the polls and indicate he is ahead.

"Do you really believe Obama is the better person for the job?"

No. I would rather see Ralph Nadir as President.

"Do you really believe Obama loves this country as much as McCain?"

    An absurd question.

"Do you really believe Obama has served this country as much as McCain?"

I personally don't think McCain has served this country well. He has served his lobbyist friends, now on his campaign staff, well. But most certainly not this country. Witness the Keating five. The telecommunications interventions. The POW deceit. His Big Oil Lobbyists. His falsified Tax Returns. His long history of issuing heartfelt denials of things that were actually true. His affair with the lobbyist Vicki Iseman. His help to pal Donald R. Diamond.

Intermission for a few good songs.
