Some of you may have noticed my absence. Some may not. I have a story here that may help you save the life of another, or your very own. It all started about 2002. I got the "Ugly Black Toe"... you know the one that makes you keep you toe hidden, and you spend a small fortune on the miracle polish that promises to take it away. Well after a while I gave up on it and learned to hide it and ignore it. then about 1 1/2 yrs. ago I stubbed it on the couch and that split the toenail and lifted it up. I hobbled around about a week and then it didn't hurt anymore. I cut off as much nail as I could then some time later i noticed it was weeping . I finally got the nerve to tell my Dr and he was surprised it didn't hurt...we did a few months of antibiotics and the feeling started coming back, then it got really ugly and weepy all the time so he called around to some friends (Pod.) to see if they might look at my toe even though I had no ins. He agreed. his DX Go to university er right now..It need a biopsy. we went .....was there until 230am and Thomas' sister had to be to work at 4am.....skipping forward.
Wed. Oct 10th I was admitted to hospital all kinds of test done mon the 15th I had 1/2 my big toe cut off while I was awake I felt part of it .!!! Next they sent toe to pathology and I had to have CT scan of my body out come ..It was melanoma of the Great Toe.. one of the fastest spreading cancers there is.......Next...I have cancer one of my lymph nodes in my groin area is really deformed and another is questionable. Should find out more tomorrow about surgery will try to get back to let you all know what has happen.......No Matter what I love you all dearly!!!!!Love ya Margaret

I think your courage to write about this to let others know is commendable! i wish this was NOT happening to you though. What a shock it all must have been to you after suffering with it for so long then, in such a short space of time. . .

Wow I forgot I had posted this. I was in the hospital still...got the DX of PET scan on oct 30th I am having a lot of feeling drained and weak but I am CANCER FREE!!!!! I posted another post today... One thing everyone I see Says "Margaret you look SO Wonderful since I saw you last.....Now you are "Glowing"! Thank You ALL SOOOO much for Caring and your Thoughts and Prayers! Much love Margaret
