as I have said in one of my previous posts - my family - i.e my inlaws or brother in law in particular have been taking their holier than thou attitude to the limits.
He bought himself a brand new car a couple of weeks back and seemed pretty happy with it.The car lived in the same garden as my 2 dogs.Which wasnt a problem in the beginning, until scratch marks started appearing on the car.
It was tolerated and nothing was said to me on my regular weekend visits.I think they like the dogs too much and knew that if they said anything, that i would probably re house them else where.
But it all came to a head last week when my B in L called me just as i walked in the door, after a particularly shit day at work,to tell me that Max had torn his canvas car cover ' to shreds' .I was then told that HE had arranged to 'give him away' to one of his friends.
Over my fucking dead body,i said
So a conversation became a discussion which became an arguement.
I said that I would have him removed by the weekend and taken somewhere else.
So today was the day.A friend of mine has agreed to take care of him for me til I can make another plan.I cannot keep him with me as i live in a complex, which doesnt allow large breed dogs - but i will make a plan,I always do.
I went there earl;y to collect him this morning and took him to my friends house. He started off in the back seat with his little chew toy, which i thought would do the trick. But a kilometer down the road,he was in the passenger seat with his front paws on the dash and looking at the world as it passed by.
I hope that he will be ok.I dont want to keep calling my friend to ask him how's the dog,as that can become annoying - but i think that I just might.
I feel sorry for my mother in law,as Max was her shadow during her days at home alone -and now he isnt there anymore - i know she will miss him.
I hope my brother in law is happy. Why does this earth have to be cursed with self centered, egotistical, conceited and  materialistic people?

Oh Cuppa!  I am sorry to read this.  It is very sad for both you and your mom-in-law.  My heart aches when I read this because it just reminded me how concerned I was when we had to leave our dogs behind when we left SA.

((((Big Hug))))) to you, my friend!

I'm sorry you had to go through this shit today CJ, or any day for that matter - I know how much you love Max and I know how much he loves you, following you round like your shadow :-)

Think of it in 2 ways.  1. Someone once told me that the best revenge is to be happy.  2.  When you find a place that you can be with Max and the 3 of you (not forgetting little 'ol Garfield) can be together properly, you will be able to give your BiL the finger as you will all be happy ;-)

You know what would piss your BiL off the most?. . . when you thank him for making you make that decision to move where you can all be together.

I'll try get rid of the tags CJ....

I hope that your little max does okay in his new home.  Some people CJ have an agenda that doesn't involve anyone other than their own advancement and petty insecurities.

You have heart honey I'm sorry it turned out this way.  You BIL sounds like a dick head, can I knee cap him with my cricket bat??? please??

((Psst, missed you while I was away))

Hello all.I was meaning to get to these comments last night - but yesterday was my date at the hospital for my check up and it became an incredibly long day  - with some interesting developments wich i shall post about at lunch time today - well lunch time on this side of the planet anyway

Hi Polar - thank you for your comment - I am not too happy about the arrangement and i know that my mother in law isnt taking it very well either,as he was he companion around the house during the day, when she was at home.I will be calling Neal,my friend to find out about him today

    Hi Skald - thank you

Hi Pusscat - Thank you - the agent is coming back to me with a couple of options today -so I will wait and see what happens. My brother in law is avoiding me at the moment, for obvious reasons. You know the old saying that empty vessels make the most noise? Well - lets just say he is known for doing things first for his own selfish reasons and then thinking about it afterwards

Lioness - thank you for your comment

Xia' - please do me and everyone else a faavour and fuck off,I am not in the mood

Lucy' - thank you - it would be great if you could get rid of some of these tags for me.Yes,I a agree -my brother in law is exactly like that, but he pulls all the little people down with him

A cricket bat in the right place may work - I know he has no back bone,I am not sure if he really has any nuts though !!

Hi Fraggles - I have had animals all my life - but the older I get the more closer i have gotten to them.I have a house cat called garfield - how is just like the comic,he is now 6 years old and i have had him since he was about 4 weeks.

Then, there is my dog family that lives at my in laws place.
