In an attempt to partially deflect my comment about men and their insecurities on kruuyai's post "men", I offer the following from an ancient writing known to scholars in general as "Testimonials of the Great Sages - Chronicles of the Study of Women Over the Ages" - Canto LVII - Line IV :

One day....long, long ago, there lived a woman
who did not whine, nag, or bitch.

But this was a long, long time ago, and
it was just that....one day.

The End.

unique- I'm presently looking for the canto which contains the sages statement that it is a man's duty, obligation, and a necessity for male health to annoy, and women "should succumb with dignity, grace, fervor and not a small amount of humility".

It is hard to argue with wisdom as great as that. However, that day must
have been before I was married.

And here I am thinking you had no sense of humor beyond..........hahahaha.  That was damn funny Mr.

Had me laughing out loud and calling the wife to hear me repeat it.

I do not whine, nag, or bitch.  I merely point out all the ways in which I am superior to my husband, poor misguided soul that he is.

    ;)

Once a woman is made equal to a man - at once she becomes his superior.

can you imagine if women didn't whine nag or bitch??? it would be a sad world indeed.  all those un-nagged men wandering around helplessly, forgetting their own mother's birthday (the woman didn't nag him that it was approaching)

Beyond ~ I'm amazed... simply amazed that you had to look back into the testimonials to find this little bit of incredible wisdom....... (lol)

Now if every man could remember to take the trash out every night, lift the lid after flushing, put their dirty clothes IN the basket, hand their towel ON the rack, RINSE their dishes after using them, ohh and their drinking cups.. nagging would be forever lost.
  • ZsuzsiO said on Oct 25, 2008....

    Oh c'mon!

I wouldn't whine at all if God would have given me the body that stays in shape with no or little effort.

I wouldn't nag if the man I date would listen in stead of just hear me brush my words off him all the time.

And really, who wants to bitch all the time about him not being able to make a mature decision and live by it too? Not me, but it's anoying to having have to tell him something so many times without actually seeing any result........

oops, did I just .... well, but it's true.

    Really funny though.

lucy- I do those things and it does help for a little while.

zsuz- Hey, I've made two mature decisions in my life. And when she's listening, I say she's one of them.

peanut- I just knew there was another testimonials book out there somewhere.
