There are 4 million orphans and homeless children just in Russia and Ukraine. The problem is governments do not care about helping or saving the children. In fact governments in some countries would rather get rid of them. When children beg on the street to survive they are often seen as rats by the locals. Many orphanages in Russia are low quality and not fit for children to stay in. This is the same in a lot of Eastern European, Asian and African countries. Most orphanages survive with donations and help from charities. Many cannot afford to make basic repairs. Some even lack clean water. Life is so precious regardless of circumstances. Children need love and support to survive. If their parents are bad and reject them they are thrown onto the streets. Thank goodness for the charities and orphanages who truly care and help children who could not survive with them. We can all help and make a difference if we really care enough.
