The Sabbath sermon for this week is : (The Power of Prophecy)
I have some personal thought for you to consider I suppose coming from my liberal view of life:
Sermon covers our military being worn down, but does not explain why it seems to me these people are not willing to criticise America or it's leaders, but I on the other hand have no problem with pointing out our flaws-which does not mean I am against America I just want to make her better.  Our military is worn down because of 8 yrs. of applying a wrong policy-the Bush policy; policing the world, and pre-emptive strike giving us 2 illegal wars; Afghanistan, and Iraq plus over 700 bases world wide.
Pearl Harbor is mentioned by the preacher, but the invasion of Iraq by America is not mentioned which I think is worst than Pearl Harbor; because at least Pearl Harbor was a military base , and not one of our allies in the middle east.

Immigrants or illegal aliens are mentioned, but nothing about America forcibly taking America from the American Indians and Mexicans-I am not saying hear we should not be here only that we should have treated these people with respect.

Homosexuals are mentioned in a negative sense also-My thoughts on this issue is that it is morally wrong, but an individual choice.
Abortion is mentioned in a negative sense also-my thought on this issue is that it is morally wrong, but the choice should be left to the mother.

Why have all our national problems come upon us?
Deu 28:45
Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

What can we do to correct the problem?

Deu 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, [even] in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; Deu 4:31
(For the LORD thy God [is] a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
