I was travelling on a road with a street name my mind can't seem to remember. My mind was rushing as I try to remember the details of a tryst 2 years in the making. I seemed to float under the interlocked pavement of a famous shopping mall. I'm lost in Dubai.

I've flown into this strange but wonderful land hoping that I could heal a relationship that time seemed to have forgotten. The life that I was dying to build in my homeland I now left barren and destitute. My assets are all sold out I have nothing to go back to.

With the money that I accumulated I bought some real estate properties from Dynasty Zarooni. It was surprise for when I propose to her. I can't wait to see her. The hours seemed like years and the minutes...hours.

I received a phone call from a friend so rushed to meet him at a mall I forgot the name. I asked the hotel driver to hurry and gave him a Dhs100. I can't wait to see my dear Anna. When I finally arrived my friend pointed towards the 12 o' clock from my direction and there was my Anna.

Under the Ebony and Ivory Towers banner I saw her arms akimbo with a local guy. I fought the tears about to flow from the edges of my eyes. I felt as if the whole world fell down on me. I wanted to hurt them but my body was numbed. My friend escorted me back to the hotel I'm staying.

The bottle of Tequila I bought earlier from the duty free seemed to beckon to me. And so thus I spent the night languoring in misery. It's been a month now since I've come to Dubai and am contemplating of either staying or leaving. The investment with Dynasty Zarooni is the only good thing going on for me right now.

I'm looking forward to better days though. I've done a lot of sigh seeing in this city in the desert. It would have been a perfect oasis for me had my lovely Anna not left me. Now I look at the world with kaleidoscope eyes for there's no other way left for me to see it.
