I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Kevin Smith movie, Chasing Amy. It's about that one girl (or in straight girls' case, guy) that got away. Do you guys feel there was an Amy in your life? And do you think this is a healthy thought?

I try not to think in those terms. I always think ahead and look forward rather than back. I try to live without regrets.

I believe things happen for a reason in life. We might not always understand it, but it's for some purpose.

    No Amy in my life.

I know a lot of people who have met a special someone whom they have never quite gotten over, someone they always wonder what could have happened with.

I am the same. I am a straight woman but I had a male 'Amy'. I will always wonder. However, I have a man in my life whom I wouldn't sacrifice or leave. He is wonderful.

I think it isn't a question of whether it is healthy or not to pine for somebody. It is natural and happens to the majority of us. The key is to keep in mind what we have and that the grass is nearly always not greener - and quite possibly, less green.
