At approximately between 12:20 to 12:45 (local time), Mazda will be officially launching the new Mazda 3. The sedan is said to be the last vehicle to be part of the company’s Zoom-Zoom campaign.

Similar to other Mazda vehicles, the new Mazda 3 sports a fierce looking front thanks to its sharp headlights and grille. I don’t know if it’s just me but the front end (sans the headlights) looks a bit like the Audi A8.

So what does the new sedan have to offer in terms of performance? Well, not much has been revealed by the company as of late. But according to Mazda, the new Mazda 3 will be sporting a 2.0 or 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It’s also said to provide you top-notched fuel economy. The only other confirmation given by the company is that after the debut of the sedan version at the L.A. Auto Show, Mazda will be working on releasing a hatchback trim of the vehicle.

Since it was first released in 2003, the Mazda 3 series has been able to sell a total of 1.8 million units in more than 100 countries around the world. The vehicle line has also been able to take home more than 90 awards given out in the automotive industry. Not only that, the Mazda 3 has a good sales ratio, with the sedan being one of three Mazda vehicles sold on a yearly basis.
