I hear it took her 3days to prep for the debates(McCain's attack dog-Palin). But heres a more serious question we all need to answer honestly:"If the shit hit the fan and she was the one left holding the proverbial bag would she have 3days to prep for it like she did for the debates? Who needs to prep for the things going on in our country and around the world unless you live in a bubble and NEVER watched television in the last couple of years.

I bet her children are probably more preped on current world events than she is.

I think you're being unfair.  I'm sure each and every politician needs prep time, so your vitriole is illogical.  As vice-president she would have a staff of consultants and advisors to rely on just like the president.  I'm sure there would also be some pre-emptive plans for expected likely situations as well.  It's my opinion that you just don't like Sarah Palin, so you bag on her more so than you would any of the other candidates.

Well if Sarah didn't make it so bloody easy to dislike her it would be different.  And honestly she should be able to make up better answers than she had (particularly on Katie Couric's interview) off the cuff.

Ultimately you're right though if she became VP it wouldn't be her decision really at all and if she became P she'd have a whole host of advisors but the thing is she'd need to understand what her advisors were saying well enough to choose from amongst them the best plan.  I mean unless you want it to be like the Simpsons Movie.

SR - you don't have to like people to elect them.  If that were the case, I would have quit voting long ago.  Most elections it's the lesser of two evils that I have to pick from.

I'm really starting to think that lesser of two evils thing is just people being upset for the sake being upset.  but you are right you don't have to like someone to elect them it should be based on being qualified and Palin hasn't done anything to raise confidence in her.

SR - admittedly her experience is scarce.  As far as qualified, I'm less sure that a person needs years of experience living on the government's dole to be qualified.  I'd almost rather a fresh pair of eyes look at our very old problems.

Its not her EXP that I'm worried about, infact that is the same basic thing I've said about Obama's relative lack of experience.

It's her seeming lack of awareness that bothers me about her.  She couldn't name a Supreme Court decision she disagreed with?  She couldn't come up with a firm stance on gay rights?

SR - I'd bet you $100 she has firm personal opinions on those issues.  She realizes who she has obligations to though, and may not yet have developed the teflon skills her more experienced peers have.
