I wrote this in memory of a very close high-school friend whom I lost to cancer. She fought the battle several times through her life, and it finally won in her early 20's.
Few things in this world,
Can be considered undescribable.
Your warm, shinging smile,
And heartfelt laugh,
Quickly come to mind,
When I often reminisce,
About a dear friend of mine.
Even Webster could never define,
A truely pure soul,
A caring heart,
A personality so kind.
You remained extremely strong,
Through all of the years.
Each and every time,
The head of cancer did rear.
The Lord finally rescued you,
To offer a wonderful, pain-free life.
So many things just don't seem fair,
But, I believe our God in Heaven,
Set you free from the illness,
You once did bare.
May you know deep in your heart,
That through it all, I did care.
Few days pass,
That life doesn't remind me,
Of the true friend you were,
And how much you meant to me.
