The real question is "who isn't an ALT?" (if by ALT you mean an alternate persona). I can't say I really have any "friends," on Soulcast, just people (or their personae) who are sweet or interesting or funny, or bother at all to read what I write. So yes, why not be casual friends in a casual way in a casual place?
